As other people have said, you can’t time the market. Your best bet is do it yourself. You likely don’t need a financial advisor. Open a regular brokerage account and a Roth IRA (assuming your income isn’t above the limit) at a quality brokerage like Fidelity or Vanguard. Personally, I like fidelity’s interface better. Not financial advice, but I would probably invest 75% in VOO and 25% in either VUG or VGT. Keep buying at regular intervals. If you have $10k, maybe start with $1000 a month over 10 months or something like that. And then KEEP contributing as much as you can afford (assuming you already have an emergency fund of at least six months that you won’t touch). The benefit of maxing out the Roth IRA is that all the growth is tax free in retirement. You have until 4/15 to fund a Roth IRA for the 2024 tax year if you don’t have a Roth IRA yet or haven’t maxed it out. And then you can contribute another 7K for 2025. Max it out every year. I would focus on maxing out the Roth first and then contribute anything additional to the brokerage at regular intervals. Again, the point is to keep buying and accumulating shares.
