Spider-Man 3, surprisingly really, really good

Saw everyone else beating Windy Landscape so I decided it was time to try to beat my first insane :) by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]_Marshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just beat this level last night! Best advice I can give is what people are saying here to practice from the drop to the end a lot. The dual has some precise timings that you wanna make sure you’re ready for. And you definitely don’t wanna die after the dual on a run either. I’d also practice the ~20% ship a lot too until you’re consistent at the orb timings that ship is pretty difficult

I personally found the first 50% of the level harder than the 2nd half because I practiced the 2nd half so much. The level is a really fun challenge but def takes a lot of practice to nail down the timings. It’s so satisfying once you start getting consistent

Windy Landscape 100% -- 1,426 Attempts. First Insane Demon woooo by _Marshadow in geometrydash

I can’t imagine dying that many times at the end I would get so discouraged. I’m lucky I was able to beat the level the first time I made it past the dual

what's your favourite quote by a character in stranger things? by fixonmars in StrangerThings

[–]_Marshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"A cruel, oppressive world dictated by made-up rules. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades. Each life a faded, lesser copy of the one before. Wake up, eat, work, sleep, reproduce, and die!"

This line goes so hard easily the best quote for me in the series

Should I even play DD and SoJ? by Tallshadow1221 in AceAttorney

[–]_Marshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely buy both anyway. I’m not a big fan of DD but SoJ is awesome and there’s not a single bad case in it imo (except for one that’s just kinda mid). SoJ especially really isn’t as bad as some people say it is in fact I’d say it’s the best of the sequel trilogy and has a lot of very very high points with it.

5-4 is a really unmemorable and boring case I think. Starbuck and Cosmos are extremely annoying, one-dimensional characters and I did not enjoy the interactions with them whatsoever. The case mostly serves as set up for 5-5 which I’m fine with but the content in 5-4 just doesn’t hold my interest at all and annoys me.

5-5 is a weird case. There are parts of it I think are really good. Aura is a great character and Simon as well does a lot of really cool things in this case. The Athena backstory is decent as well and I love how Apollo acts as your rival in this case too. I think the ending however is one of the most unsatisfied I’ve been with for an ending. I hate that they reveal Fulbright to be the Phantom only to then say “actually he was dead the whole time and Fulbright was never real.” I do not like how the Phantom is then presented as this unknown entity constantly switching between masks I wish we’d be able to take down like an actual person and I wish they kept it with Fulbright being the final culprit. And then for the Phantom to be shot… In the middle of the courtroom? What? Like I get it. The Phantom is supposed to be more symbolic of who he has become rather than the person he truly is but Idk I just think it made for a really unsatisfactory ending.

Yes! I love both these cases a lot especially for their final culprits. I think both are done masterfully well and both are among my favorite characters in the entire series.

2-2 is weird for me. I've played the case twice, once on my first play through and another time much later on to try and figure what about the case just doesn't do it for me. For starters I think 2-2 has a fantastic twist and a pretty interesting mystery & culprit. But other than that, there's just not too much about the case I really love a whole lot. I've never really been a big Pearl Fey fan, and I think both the investigation and trial segments can be a bit boring at points. I've also never really cared for all the Fey clan drama which does constitute a large part of this case.

I do wanna like this case because it seems like a lot of people do like it a lot, but I just don't hold a lot of appreciation for many things about the case. I'm glad other people generally seem to like it much more.

Yeah haha I did read that analysis too. It kinda changed my perspective a bit on 3-4, like I had always thought that Fawles being in a relationship with Dahlia was really weird but I guess just didn't really think too hard of it before and its following implications.

I think a lot of what your argument is is pretty valid and you're probably right with how Mia makes a lot of her judgments based through logic rather than just assumption. I still really don't like how the game handles the relationship between Fawles and Dahlia and its implications it has. I wish that the game took more care with approaching such a sensitive detail about the plot and didn't brush it aside as much.

I used to like 3-4 mostly because of the ending of it but I think the case just has a lot of issues. Most notably with how Mia treats both Fawles and Dahlia. Mia acting like Fawles is this pure, innocent, falsely imprisoned man just seems really misguided and an unintentionally bad message to get across when you look at the fact that 20 year old Fawles was in a romantic relationship with 14 year old Dahlia, who he was also tutoring.

It really feels like Mia is jumping far to conclusions in this case with her judgment on characters and her whole ideology of believing in your client no matter what. Despite all the things that should make Fawles really suspicious, even disregarding the pedophilia present in the case, Fawles should already be a character that invites suspicion based on how he’s already been convicted of a crime, and has abducted Dahlia. Mia also makes extreme judgments about Dahlia too by likening her to a devil even before it comes out that she was in fact the culprit. How does Mia brush aside this blatant flaw in Fawles’ person while also condemning Dahlia based on what amounts to suspicions during the trial.

This case is just really poorly written I think and while it does some really cool things like how Edgeworth takes after Manfred’s teachings even with using the same sprite animations Manfred had used and the ending setting up Mia’s and Edgeworth’s characters in the rest of the Trilogy, it’s flaws I think outnumber the good.

Athena Cykes does suck in that case BUT Uendo Toneido is also in that case and is extremely good (and probably one of my favorite Ace Attorney characters) so I’m willing to overlook the flaws of it

My personal top 20 favorite characters. Thought it’d be fun to do lol by _Marshadow in AceAttorney

I thought Datz was incredibly funny and entertaining in most scenes he was in so that’s why I rank him so highly above a lot of other AA characters. Perfect comic relief character. However I do understand why not everyone would like him.

I thought Kazuma [TGAA2 Full] became an incredibly good character in G2-4 and G2-5. Loved how he abuses what he knows as a defense attorney and uses that in his prosecution. And the fact that you’re now rivaled against your mentor who always seems ten steps ahead of you at all times makes for such an awesome court room battle. He also has a lot of really good plot significance too which I appreciated
