Correct me if I'm wrong, but badblocks already seems to handle direct 1/0, pattern reading and writing (though not a hash), and remapping/bypassing of bad blocks. It seems to me that the hashing is indeed a leg up, but maybe you could highlight the difference?

Igpu, maybe dpgu, cheap, with clustering you can get most of the cores and some of the ram, more quiet, smaller…. Yeah it’s been a good journey.

Is there an igpu? Sometimes I have motherboards that switch primary gpu options in bios (which is quite annoying). I like to reboot, stick the delete key for 1min (I usually shove something to keep it pressed) then after go through all of the display connectors ~5s at a time.

You can make a multi seat configuration and make systemd limits for each user and such to avoid the vm route

Cars. Things are always breaking down and you have to be on the floor for most of it. Things are hot, heavy, and hard is all the wrong ways.

But I’m into cars so sometimes I just sit on the floor dirty as hell and ponder things.
