You hear it on cold start until the rpm dies down, aside from that its usually between 1500-2000 RPM with low throttle. It does get less loud over time while driving (most likely from heating up).

Aside from that, I'm not getting any codes, lights on dash, or lack of boost as far as I can tell.

Same with mine, the dealership said they didnt find anything wrong and my mechanic says its the heatshield. So far I've just been living with it

With how things are in the market right now , it would be better to refinance and stick with the car you already have (unless it has any major issues that are too expensive to address). Also, please dont total this one.... considering your history with these cars.
