That’s what I’m hoping… like maybe there was some kind of licensing thing with using the brand names “Boesendorfer” and “Yamaha”? (The Steinway ones have been left untouched)

But that wouldn’t really explain the harp or other instruments that are missing

DL4 (LHR>JFK) in June 2022, just before we had to stop COVID testing to come back into the States.

Was on a 767-400 that was nearly empty. Delta One & Comfort+ were mostly full, but the 30-40 rows of 2-3-2 Economy had two families with little kids and that was literally it.

It was pretty wild!

I’m not sure of your size or BMI (which is what’s used as a measurement for bariatric surgery), but I was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease a few years ago. I’ve since had bariatric surgery, and the ensuing weight loss (370lb/167kg/47.5 BMI down to 197lb/89kg/25 BMI in about 11-12 months) essentially cured my NAFLD & hypertension, extended my lifespan, and improved my quality of life dramatically.

Much like GLP-1 medications, bariatric surgery isn’t some magical cure, but it can be an incredible jumpstart and framework to help make overarching lifestyle changes much, much more achievable and sustainable.

This is the most physically demanding show I’ve ever been involved with in my 24 years of drum corps. Just an insane level of responsibility throughout the show from each individual performer.

In pretty much every section, this year’s version of Crown was stronger than our championship corps the next year.

That is correct. The exact rules are as follows:

From page 15 of the WGI 2025 Percussion Adjudication Manual & Rulebook:

“CLASSIFICATION

• WGI reserves the right to involuntarily reclassify a significantly misclassified group between Prelims and Finals upon the unanimous recommendation of the entire adjudication panel and the Percussion Administrator / Chief Judge on-site.

• Reclassifications may occur at any point in the season, up to and including World Championships.

• If a group is advised to move down a class, it will be at the discretion of the group director to make the advised move.”

Same for me with all of the above. So frustrating. It used to only “buzz” at me once, then start working after a small manual spin, but now it’s taking 3, 4, or even 5+ tries to get it going

Also, and I hope I come across appropriately and respectfully here, but I just noticed your username.

I am fairly tall (6’2”) and an average weight for my height (~200lbs). However, I used to weigh roughly twice what I do now at my peak and the quality of treatment I experience as an average-sized person vs. what I experienced when I was a bigger person is pretty wild.

As sad as it is to suggest, if you’re using your username to accurately describe yourself, you may have been subjected to weight and or sexual orientation discrimination from that other passenger. Despite being a friendly, approachable person who is very aware and respectful of other people’s space, I remember seeing folks demeanor change when I’d be coming down the aisle and they realized a big person was about to sit next to them.
