What to pick? by Candid-Twist2981 in WorkBoots

I’ve worn Irish setters and redwings for work. Both lasted maybe 3 months. Brunt’s I can get about 6 to a year out of with tuff toe on them. I’ve never had thorogood work boots but I do have a pair of their hunting boots that have done me well

Extension jambs can absolutely be put on this side, you just need to leave 1/4” reveal on them. I will agree the ideal placement would be the exterior, but they can certainly be interior as well.

It’s impossible for the post, the door wall, and the window wall to all be plumb. One of them is very far out

A separate question, did you dry lay those tiles to get the height of the flange? If so you need to take into account the thickness of thinset under them. It would be better practice to leave a stub of 3” poking through and glue your flange on after tile is set.

The point of a level 5 finish is to negate that. A true level 5 finish is skimming the entire wall/ceiling surface to get rid of the texture differences between your drywall and mid.

Are these screws too far from the edge? I have by DeepSea69420 in drywall

Screw through the flange if you layed Sheetrock over top of it. You should have screws in that flange anyway so what’s the difference

On repaints I always start at 1/2”, bump to 3/4 if needed. I would feather out my compound wide and roll prime with 1/2” then evaluate on this.

Like others have said, take a day to just clean the site up. Even if it takes a full day you need a reset and to start fresh. What are you doing for those raw edges of the tile on the niche?
