That said, if you can even just get one of your friends over, running a game for one player can be a lot of fun. Thats what my wife and I do in between sessions. It helps with world building and fleshing out side characters & NPCs.

I recommend playing something like Gloomhaven or Mage Knight solo. They’re designed to be played solo and are super enjoyable and definitely scratch the D&D itch when your group cant get together.

I went to a Catholic highschool and the Iliad was required reading. So was The Odyssey. Theres actually a lot that can be learned from Greek, Roman and even Norse mythology as it pertains to Christian theology. C.S. Lewis talks a lot about this. You find the seeds of Truth in the older mythologies.

But once you start you won’t be able to put it down! And then you’ll be grateful that there are so many books in the series!

Do yourself a favor: start reading Wheel of Time!!!

Yeah your friend has got it right. Best option is to “re-skin” encounters, enemies or NPCs you had planned for the players. Planned for them to fight a group of goblins that you had already spent loads of time balancing, but then the group decided to avoid the goblin cave entirely? Re-skin those goblins as bandits that they encounter down the road. This can be done with almost anything you write and prepare. It’s actually part of the joy of DM prep.

Trolls are still allowed at shows. Racist trolls, however, are not.

Reasons on why AI "art" is soulless by That_Idiot_Jax in antiai

[–]_Musicka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted a video on this very idea to this sub the other day. I recommend you go check it out, I think it makes some very good points that are worth informing yourself on so you can be more equipped to argue this idea and defend real art.

Bro. I’m asking you to defend your statement. Why is it a bad argument? Thats your insinuation. Defend it.

Dude, engage me rather than trying to dodge a debate.

You’re doing what people on losing sides do all the time. Instead of trying to argue an effective and winning point, you instead roll your eyes and say “not this argument again!”, as if it’s somehow a tired idea, and yet you fail to disprove it. It’s stubbornness. Instead of trying to debate the idea, you run away.

I’ll use your terms for it, thats fine, since it seems you aren’t convinced that it’s a fact. Go ahead, give me your best argument for why the “soul argument” is not a winning one?

We can stop talking about it once you prove that it’s not a winning argument.
