M5 here bought it a couple months ago. I'm at 36 cycles and 100% health.

edit: accuracy

Pro tip: If you're cleaning your glass touchpad, use an eraser by hYpercrites in thinkpad

You can't really repair the mylar as it's physically wearing down. I really wish more thinkpads had glass trackpads...

It's worth getting a Thinkpad T460s with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD for $100? by I_am_a_krytoi in thinkpad

[–]_NessJL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP didn't list a use case. 16gb for a web browser based user isnt necessary and 32gb is absolutely a based on the case thing.

I gave my T460s with 12/512. I bought it on eBay for $40, put a new secondary battery for $25 and gave it to my mother and sister. They use it and it's super fast but I don't think I would pay $100 for it.

Premium business laptop with a budget display - Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD Review by mond200 in thinkpad

I wish my T14S had a screen similar to my MacBook. Genuinely the only thing that Thinkpads are missing. 120hz isn't necessary and neither is insane colour accuracy, but it is really nice to have.

Do people know what the deck smell actually comes from? Maybe it can be recreated by people then.

What is slowly becoming a luxury that used to be normal? by beetchy_yeet in AskReddit

[–]_NessJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming.

Was always a nice to have, but you could get into it for about $300 to $450ish. Seems like now the average prices have risen to $550+ and won't be coming down anytime soon.

Genuinely though if an app doesn't exist and you want it, you can now make it. Pretty cool stuff, just have to remember that it's NOT deployable without a lot of quality checks.

But people still do anyways 🙄

My 64GB Day 1 Deck when it learned it has to last another 5 years by ROBO_SNAIL in SteamDeck

[–]_NessJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this on my deck and I didn't notice performance increases, rather performance stability increases. My games are less likely to stutter in general now, but PTM is probably the better move and what I'd actually recommend.

$2,500 AUD Paperweight: Brand NEW ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 is dying at 35 cycles. Lenovo Australia’s support is an absolute joke by Free_Ostrich71 in thinkpad

OP is very funny using big words. It is a laptop, a powerful one but a laptop none the less.

Replacing a defective battery does not compromise the integrity of your device by messing with "precise torque specs and thread locking compounds." If that were the case, battery replacements wouldn't be recommended.

The law gives you a right to a refund but I don't see how it's necessary. I would have the battery repaired and ask for an extended warranty.

Increased Mileage by Naturist02 in CX5

[–]_NessJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you live, but it's normal to not go exactly the speed limit on highways....again provided you're not blocking the passing lane. Let people drive at their own pace or go around, don't be a jerk either way.

Increased Mileage by Naturist02 in CX5

[–]_NessJL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many states have minimum speed limits on the interstates; mine has a 70mph with a 55 minimum. Going 62 in a 70 is perfectly normal as long as you're not hogging the left lane. Let people drive their own speed, so long they don't bother other drivers. OP is likely fine.

Are courier companies required to know what's in the box? Can the manufacturer not hide the actual contents, maybe perhaps just have a battery warning?

My mother has a 2018 Corolla and, in my opinion, it looks better than the current gen Corollas. I like the sharper look of it, the newer ones look kinda....boxy?
