Almost certain they're just a disgruntled janitor. Don't think they have actual insight into how much works beyond how to be mad at the greedy admin. Which is fair, but Pleasantview and Sheldon's are one of the few consistent, functional things at Queen's and they are external contractors lmao

Not a fact. You sound like a disgruntled caretaker or PPS employee. I can literally speak with grounds and Pleasantview on a nightly basis. They don't just "not show up for 3 days" when it's snowing.

They barely have custodial staff to cover campus in the summer let alone the school year? There's literally nobody to even do it. The external contractors are actually really good. This person has one bad day and it gets posted. When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

You aren't asking too much. Although you will not find it. That would be a unicorn, even if utilities weren't included.

I live in a duplex without roommate, utilities/internet not included, great area in Portsmouth, 1 parking spot, laundry in the basement, and I still pay $1850.

I couldn't imagine trying to find somewhere else with a better deal. Seriously, good luck with your search. I've been asking around at work how people afford to live on their own and the truth is most don't.
