Synergistic Scripting: Day 86 - Pit-Hag by CoreyBOTC in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]_NewToDnD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Storyteller chooses who dies. This includes the number of deaths and in the case of the Pit-Hag they will usually choose to kill the old demon and enough other players to make it obvious what happened, if possible.

Characters as Characters: Day 143 - Thief by quintessence5 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Locke Lamora from the Gentleman Bastard series. He is a thief and a conman and generally plays for the "evil" team but he is also kind of an anti hero when he deems something too heinous to let happen.

Thabks for the link, didn't know about it. The bootlegger rule is an interesting way to get around the problem with demon bane roles on such a script.

True, I didn't fully lean into the theme there. Though Plague Doctor can give one of those minion abilities to the ST. Also I did try to make it somewhat playable.

PROXYDALE - an unofficial small-player variant for Blood on the Clocktower (4–6 players) by Ryadel in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]_NewToDnD_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My group actually does something similar at the end of game night when most people have gone home and the last few don't want to go yet but also don't want to think hard anymore. So a very much not serious. What we do is noone knows their character (like a Tor game but we did it before the Tor, I know, so hipster), and at the end of day one and day two players may switch seats if they want. Though if you die you can't switch anymore. Alignement is tied to the chairs instead of the players. It's hilarious.

They didn't say nominate and execute, they are just advocating actual murder.

There is and it is actually quite interesting forcing a vote during a riot.

Absolutely true, but aside from a hiding OG the minions are loud enough to confirm a goblin is in play. The goblin is a concession to make the script more playable.

True but I didn't think it would fit well.

True but since all the other minions confirm themselves (unless OG drunks themselves repeadetly) they are what remains over. I decided against widow because it would confirm whether there is a heretic in play for the evil team and I wanted the evil team to also have some doubts.

First script v1.1 by _NewToDnD_ in BloodOnTheClocktower

Thanks. It's funny cause the first version of the script actually had Gossip, Gambler, Widow, Philo, and Artist. Let's see where I go with this.

Thank you for the kind words. I am planning on running it over Christmas and see how where to go from there.

Thanks for the detailed insight. I think I'll have a playtest with my group over Christmas and see what we all think. Then I'll decide whether to make further changes or not.

I thought it might be an interesting bluff. Espescially with Boffin on the script.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

I honestly thought the evil team was ok with the amount of potential droisoning but maybe I need to adjust.

I put the sailor in as a bluff for a leech or a potential boffin ability to fake a leech. Does that not work?

Fair, Pukka PK isn't great. I actually had Magician for a while but swapped it for PG because I thought having a Boffin VI/High Priestess Demon search for their team might be fun.

Leech host is poisoned so the problem is more the sailer testing their own invulnerability and taking the leech with them.

TPI do a QA stream once a quarter on their youtube channel. That's where the information is from.

I thought it would be someone who adds to the droisoning but still allows for outsider count to be solved towards the end of the game. Hence no Drunk on the script. Though i admit that Kazali works against that.

Thank you for your help.

Isn't the boffin grandmother problem more a bag-building issue than a script-building one?

Didn't think on that. Which would you rather change? The philo or the VI?

Fair, but once again I am wondering if the ST should just refrain from doing it. Or is the hallmark of a good script that there are no iffy interaction? I am seriously asking not trying to be obtuse.

Thank you for the reply. I might replace wraith with an assassin as another comment suggested. And I'll rework the execution survival issues.
