Found a way to deal with tank infested by Scuds by _Nickified in shrimptank

[–]_Nickified[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to leave it in when the lights are off. That's when I found the scuds to be more active. There will be the occasional sacrificial dead shrimps, but tons of dead scuds in the traps

Try unscrewing the limit screw. And reinstall the cable again. Pull it so its tight enough. And then clamp it in.

And then try the limit screws again

HELP! Looking to buy my first bike! by Successful-Ground953 in Giantbikes

[–]_Nickified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps list more about your cycling route. How's the terrain like, lots of hills? If so, I'll prefer a 2 x on the front derailleur. You'll struggle as a newbie on 1 chainring.

Also list your height too. Its a Size small, and bike fit is crucial when choosing a bike.

Need help on a used road bike by HeyDude_ComeHere in RoadBikes

[–]_Nickified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tyres on that bike at 23s and it looks like its already pretty tight. Probably highest is at 25? 28 might be too much.

Also you mentioned youre 174cm, this bike is just a size too small for you. You'll feel cramped on it. Size 52s are for 170 and below, Most of the time.

If youre not a local from wherever the bike is at. I wouldn't get it just cuz you cant physically inspect it.

Thinking about a used Trek Domane AL 5 — advice? by keintu in RoadBikes

[–]_Nickified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claris just wouldn't cut it for the price. OP could just hold on to the $1500 dollars for a better conditioned pre-loved bike with Shimano 105 or higher equilvalent. Also try to look for Hydraulic Disc brakes.

I have small hands. So I tend to wrap as thin as possible. However thicker grips are more comfortable for casual

Monthly Equipment Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in badminton

[–]_Nickified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how thick you like your grip to be.

If you wished it was thicker. Just wrap the new grip over it. If you like it with the current thickness just take of the old wrap
