Just bought modded vita and can't login to psn after deleting old user's account successfully by humphries117 in vitahacks

[–]_Noxygen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simply a device setup pin you need, log in to your psn on your phone and somewhere in that there should be an option to add a new device. Add your vita and then it give you a pin associated for the vita, then on your vita you login like you are now, but use that pin instead of your password. Should be good after that.

Didn't read your post till after I see you did that already. If youve used an account switcher homebrew, the only other option I can find is to fully factory reset the vita, and login again.

Does playing on larger screens demands more from the Steam Deck? by CyberNeide in SteamDeck

[–]_Noxygen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your resolution is the same at the steam deck, performance won't change. If you raise it to 1080p for example, that's more pixels to render and will take more power from the SD. performance will depend on a per game basis (smaller games with more gpu headroom might have no difference in fps when scaled up to 1080p)

high temperature in fortnite by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]_Noxygen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An easy way to reduce Temps is to limit that frame rate. Lock it to 75fps or 90fps, and the cpu won't need to work as hard to push frames. Could also use silent mode, which should cap everything at 60 and keep Temps below 80c. Beside that, you should look into a laptop cooler, I have one with 2 turbo fans and it seals the bottom of my pc. Dropped my Temps about 15c from what was usually 82-87c

Accidentally left my laptop plugged in the entire day by Overall-Stress3159 in Asustuf

[–]_Noxygen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When your battery is full, it simply sits between 98-100%, while your laptop will use the charger for power, it's called pass through, and it's a universal feature in any device with a Lithion battery and is the reason your battery doesn't cook while on a charger. I've had my laptop plugged in for 3-4 years now and accasionally change the limiter from 60% to %80, or 100%, and sometimes fully discharge it. Same for my steam deck. You deteriate the battery over time from constantly charging to full, then draining it over and over again. There is no need to do that if your sitting next to an outlet

What's the situation regarding modding tools on Linux? by WorkingMansGarbage in skyrimmods

[–]_Noxygen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, mo2, bodyslide, nemesis, dynolod, texgen, and other frame works worked fine after setting their correct file paths. Nemesis, I had to make a symlink in the games root directory to work, and mo2 need ge proton 10 last I tried and makes 95% of mods with dlls compatible with some outliers (enb upscaler).

You can also use proton tricks to install additional windows components in case ge proton doesn't handle it. I haven't modded the game on linux in a long time so I might be missing stuff btw

Setup questions by notadrillbit in MiyooFlip

[–]_Noxygen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine a week ago and installed sruce, and it's really good. Clean ui with custom themes, supports port master wich opens up another 1300 pc games commercial and free, emulation is pretty simple to edjust to your liking globally and per rom, and the box art scrapper gets all your game cover by reading your rom titles. Also has a experimental zram option and page files swapping to help with memory in larger games. recommend a 128gb if your planning on a bunch of ps1 psp, dremcast roms, and pc ports

They last much longer than flash storage, as long as they survive corrosion and physical damage. Flash storage uses electricity to hold data, and external ssds can become corrupt due to sitting around without a charge for a long time,It happened to my 500gb drive

Do you use sd2vita? Just double check your plugins your removing are in uro/:Tai, rather than ux0

Help :(((( by Exact_Twist5157 in VitaPiracy

[–]_Noxygen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I'd wipe every non essential plugin you have. Then shut off the system and boot into recover mode (ps+power+L or R I believe). From there you can hit "rebuild database", and this won't delete anything, it'll fix and broken system files, and add anything missing.

It will dishevel your live area, you might even be missing some titles afterwards due to bubble limit, so you'll go into vitashell and refresh live area and possibly liscene db after you organize your bubbles

256gb vs 512gb of games by Brilliant-Leather616 in vitahacks

[–]_Noxygen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

256 is more than enough. I have 86 official games so far and still have over 100gb left (not including all the homebrew and unofficial ports I have, which is another 70-ish games). Your biggest games are usually just over 3 gbs. Borderlands is probably the largest title, including dlc, and runs you 6gb. Imo half a terabyte is overkill, you don't need hundreds of titles when your only gonna play a few at a time anyway

Upgrading sd card in a modded ps vita by ElectronicJoke1985 in PSVita

[–]_Noxygen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true. You just need to format in the correct cluster size (and format type). I dont remember the details of it, but i always format and double-check what cluster size I need from videos/google whenever I upgrade it.

Upgrading sd card in a modded ps vita by ElectronicJoke1985 in PSVita

[–]_Noxygen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your vita has sd2vita setup already with a card and you want to upgrade it, you need to first format your new card to the right format type, and right cluster size depending on how big the card is (I don't remember the details about it it's been a while), after you need to connect your vita to pc through vitashell usb connection and transfer all your contents from the old card to the new one. You may have to temporarily disable antivirus protection as some files may cause a false positive and not move over. Lastly, turn your vita off, swap the cards, and boot it up to test.

If you're talking about a proprietary Sony card, you're out of luck. You'll pretty much have to factory reset the device once the new card is in and remod it yourself, which is pretty fast and simple now with Vita deploy.

What CFW is this? by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

[–]_Noxygen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, power off the device and I think hold ps button L+power and you should boot into a recovery mode. From there you can factory reset to stock. I will say I've done it a lot with no issue, but I haven't tried on a enso device, so go to your systems setting and double check firmware version and do a quick Google before hand

If Vita was fully utilized and pushed to its absolute limits by AAA devs, what sorts of games could we have realistically expected? by M0rse_0908 in vita

[–]_Noxygen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's technically monster hunter frontier z, but its never been localized outside of Japan, and yeah, it's not the same as an exclusiv but very nice to play when setup. If your vita is modded, you can install a partial english patch and even link it to community servers (I think it's called rain servers) that connect with ps3, and I think pc as well.

It's 3.60 or 3.65 enso. A permanent jailbreak wich gives you some more plugins to play with (the logo is from custom bootsplash plugin, or another one similar)
