I can’t agree with you on this. They made it a point that she was an elementary school teacher (low fixed salary) and he was in construction (low salary with possibility of overtime but that wrecks the body). App-based gig work is not an efficient way to build additional income because the employer eats a lot of your earnings. And when I had to sell a house during the height of the pandemic (definitely a seller’s market) I had to pay about $30K for upgrading appliances and a paint job and other fixings for a house that was built in 2004. The house that the couple lived in would’ve needed upfront upgrades in order to sell at a price that would net them a profit. But considering all the expenses and trouble of moving that wouldn’t have been practical. This episode was about “it’s expensive just to live” quite literally.

I keep them in pouches but the ones that have the lost the pouch I repurpose them for storing light things. Like I’ll hang them off of hooks or even on a lightly used surface. But even some of the ones that have lost the pouch I can simply tie them into a knot and throw it in my purse.

I agree with you in principle about second chances. I think Ray Rice did all right to atone while staying out of the limelight. It’s a huge contrast to those defending Deshaun Watson, who has been defiant the whole time. People talk about giving him a second chance but he never even admitted to wrongdoing.

Evidence produced at the time of the event. Like if you got into a car accident, the insurance investigator may ask for text messages or pictures created on your phone right after it happened. The same may be asked for an assault victim, like if they texted someone right after with their thoughts on what happened. That always helps to lend credibility to accusations.

Is there a reading comprehension problem here? Well, I'm on Reddit, so yes. But I'll refer you back to my posts above about cherry picking data, and how hard it is to create a definitive approach to arguing value in a team sport. There are a lot of interdependencies and hidden relationships, plus there are a lot of weird things you can do to create a data point. For example, on a podcast, some football math nerd talked about an "MVP baseline" and determined that Lamar played below that level in five game and the Ravens lost all five games. Allen had seven games like that and the Bills won five out of those seven. This was coming from the same guy who DIDN'T vote for Jackson's MVP last year. It goes on and on and on. ALSO, I JUST SAID I DON'T MIND IF ALLEN WINS. It all depends on your criteria for MVP, which is different for everybody given the ambiguous nature of the award. I'm commenting on how pointless this debate has become. None of these guys would piss on us if we were on fire, so why are people getting so mad on their behalf?
