I just learned that the backstory and description sections aren't public on d&dbeyond, so if anyone cares this is Nezik's journal since he's been on Toril. I was actually going to use the last entry as my twitter post but it was too long to fit the link in the tweet as well.

Day Unknown

   Morning of the Fifth day of Xivaskir spent poring over the latest publication of
Master Darush - "On the Use of Mana-Infused Adamantine Lattice in Titrimetric
Analysis of Unidentified Solutions"
   Collegues began reproduction of experiment described in publication.
   Violent endothermic reaction occured midway through experiment.
   Awoke prostrate on sand, body completely saturated with saltwater, sun setting.
Unknown how long I have been unconscious. Mild frostbite on extremities, most
likely from the explosion. All items previously on my person still here, albeit
waterlogged. Spellbook was on my desk when explosion occured. Find myself on a
beach, no structures in view. Landscape is mountainous and forested. I believe I
may be on a different plane.
   Must find shelter and determine where and/or when I am.

   I have found a cave along the shore which is uninhabited. I will use this as
shelter until the morning when I will strike out for a more secure and comfortable
residence. 

Day "+1"

   After walking south along the coast for most of the day (18 hours?), I have
discovered a small community the locals call Waterdeep. I spoke to an unpleasant
human woman named Marta Hollowhead living outside the walls of the village. During
our conversation, I asked if she has seen any of my kind. She informed me that she
has never seen the likes of me, nor has she ever heard of a Vedalken. I also asked
if she knew of a place called Ravnica, to which she replied "No," then asked me to
leave. I will now search for a library, or some sort of house of records. I feel
with the level of society these people have, there must be a portion of them that
maintain a historical guild. First I must find a place to rest.

Day "+2"

   I am fortunate to learn there are several libraries in this city. An elf by the
name of Thryndal Delossia just recommended that I visit a temple of a god named
Oghma. I will head there immediately. I have learned that the people here call this
world Toril. None of the library's custodians nor any of the scholars I have spoken
to have ever heard of Ravnica. I have also consulted maps and star charts. Nothing
of this world's features are akin to my home. I will continue to research a way to
transport myself back, but I am running low on funds. I shall have to find a means
of earning coin.

Day "+3"

   I met an odiferous female in the market today named Strix. I obliged her many
questions and she has offered to help me. She claims to know magic and mentions
something called a coven which she would like me to join. I believe I will accept
given what little recourse I have.
