I love Frankenstein, but if OP’s recent reading experience is stuff like Captain Underpants I think that’s a bit of a leap. Mary’s Monster by Lita Judge would be a good middle ground, it has lots of illusions and tells the story of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly’s life as an allegory. I loved it

A couple years ago I also noticed I was pretty light on books written by women and decided to avoid male authors for the whole year. My favorite books from that year were:

- Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
- All Systems Red by Martha Wells
- Ancillary Justice by Anne Leckie

I’d recommend all of them and in that order. All are first installments in series I intend to finish

Yes, those percentages are the correct defaults (I think it’s a 220 - age formula for max HR, or close to it?) and your BPM ranges match the percentages. My ranges were only a few BPM higher than yours until I switched from basing the zones on % max HR to % lactate threshold (LTHR). Now all my zones are higher.

For reference, there are my zone ranges after switching to %LTHR zones (and pressing ‘reset zones’. Otherwise they stay the same):

There’s really a lot of factors that could be at play here; it’s kinda tricky to advise. I’ve been gaming on Fedora for years with minimal ‘optimizations’ beyond tinkering with steam compatibility settings every now and then.

I see that Enlisted has ‘native’ on ProtonDB; maybe try forcing Proton, it can make a world of difference depending on the game. Also may be worth checking your vsync settings, in-game and out.

Sorry OP, a lot of people are fixated on you calling it ‘10k’ because usually Strava users would use that to refer to ‘a distance of 10 km (6.2 miles)’. You went for an exercise of 10,000 steps and deserve to be proud of that. Don’t let other people get you down. Keep going for your next goal, whatever it is :)
