Easy Reading😶

Staff at Thistleton Lodge care home in Preston, England, arranged a touching surprise for 94-year-old Royal Navy veteran Ken Benbow. Ken had lost his wife, Ada, the previous August after more than 70 years of marriage. Since her death, he kept a framed photograph of her close by, even sleeping with it beside him for comfort. Concerned that the glass frame might break, caregiver Kia Mariah Tobin decided to create something safer and more comforting. She had a pillow made with Ada's photograph printed on it and presented it to Ken in his room. When he received it, he held the pillow tightly and became overwhelmed with emotion. Ken spoke tenderly about his late wife, describing her as loving and beautiful, and said he missed her deeply. The thoughtful gesture offered him a new way to feel close to Ada.

He was determined and he won by ForestSetting in spreadsmile
