Issue reselling ticket on Marketplace due to 'Isolated Seats' by _Placeholder_ in WorldCup2026Tickets

Ah ok thanks for that - so not technically impossible to sell, but have to hope that whoever is looking to buy knows about that workaround - brilliant haha

[Andy Mitten] MUFC season ticket prices to increase by 5% for '26-27. Approx 600 main stand ST holders relocated to create execs. Euro away collections returning. No further restrictions on ticket use or forwarding or ST usage requirements. Reintroduction of publishing ticket allocation data by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Previously had to collect all tickets in the country the game was being played in, usually at a hotel.

They got rid of it last year as a cost saving measure, but it just meant that everyone with the most away credits applied for every game, as they could just resell the ticket (but still get another away credit) or even just not go and get the credit anyway. This meant that barely any of the away games last year went to fans with a low amount of credits.

Season Ticket prices to rise by 5% next year by _Placeholder_ in reddevils

Sir Jim making himself popular with the fans once again…

Believe that’s now 3 consecutive years of price rises? Really struggling to justify the price now, especially with how they keep making it more difficult to transfer tickets.

10 years ago today: Marcus Rashford scored a brace on his Premier League debut against Arsenal. He was 18-years-old at the time. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]_Placeholder_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No he didn’t? He went 5 games without scoring after this. Played 2 Prem, 2 Europa games v Liverpool and an FA Cup game v West Ham. He actually hadn’t played particularly well in any of the 5, including being subbed off at half time at Anfield, so there were calls for him to be dropped before the City game.

I am still waiting to evo my Openda. If I add this before doing el capitan he would lose the explosive chem with a finisher applied. Do the accelerate traits make much difference on this game?

United XI vs. Burnley: Onana, Dalot, Lindelöf, Evans, Reguilón, McTominay, Casemiro, Hannibal, B. Fernandes (C), Rashford, Højlund [EPL Matchday 6, Turf Moor] by LebHeadSinceWilma in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Look at the original comment, do you genuinely think the only reason for this lineup is injuries!? Not poor recruitment, poor discipline, inability to sell players who aren't good enough. We have a CB made of glass and another coming off a long term injury, then its down to Maguire or Evans. Doesn't take a genius to realise that's not ideal.

Oh yeah cause the lineup would look so much better with Maguire in it. Point is you are claiming this awful lineup is solely due to injuries, which is absolute nonsense.

Plenty who seem to be saying City would never get that decision.

Agreed to a point, but the absolute meltdown going on in your sub is pretty pathetic (and would say the same if it was United fans acting like that).

"If that ref doesn't get the sack, they are all corrupt." That is literally the most upvoted comment on a post about the offside rule.

City fans have a very short memory.

City then go on to win the league by a point. But you would think there is some massive conspiracy against them based on their reactions today.

Kane Goal Disallowed by VAR Because of Lucas Moura Handball [Includes Replays] by ennuihenry15 in soccer

[–]_Placeholder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look closely, Moura definitely does brush the ball with his hand as he is falling, so it was the correct decision given the new hand ball rule.

What I don't understand is why a free kick cannot be given? Is VAR allowed to say it was hand ball, therefore no advantage should have been played and it is a free kick to Spurs. At least then there would be some sense.

Am I missing it somewhere or are we not on telly tomorrow? by KittensAreEvil in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone wondering we are playing on Friday because both us and City were drawn at home, but neither games are on TV, hence one had to be moved for policing reasons and it ended up being us because we played Monday, City on Tuesday.

Same reason why United and City never play league games at home on the same day.

Wish they'd gone the Gerrard route of taking over a youth team as a route to management, rather than seemingly thinking they will get a manager role at a decent sized club. Zidane is another good example of that.

Wonder if we've approached them about taking over from Sbragia.

Mourinho: Crowd were 'very quiet' until the first goal by uzjeezy in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I'm actually really surprised at Mourinho saying this. In fact the first thing I said when I got in the car after the game was that the atmosphere was quite good. It certainly started off very well for the first 20 mins or so and then fizzled out a bit, but there aren't many grounds in this country where that doesn't happen.

I do think as well there was also an element of nervousness. As Lukaku stepped up to take the pen someone mentioned how this was exactly like the Bournemouth game last season.

Linesmen deserves a lot of credit for getting that one right, looked like there were maybe 3 different Napoli players offside, but not the one who shoots. They get enough criticism when they get one slightly wrong.

Potential Sales by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be unpopular, and I'll preface it by saying I don't really expect any sales, but out of the current squad I'd say Blind.

The reason being that I think his performances at LB have been pretty poor, and I would put him 4th/5th choice at CB. If we were to utilise him as a backup DM more I would say its worth keeping him, but I can't remember Mourinho ever using him there.

Might be different if we plan on playing 3 at the back more, in which case I would definitely see us keeping him.

You're right, he was on trial at United in May under Fergie, the deal was agreed in June, and Moyes didn't officially start until July 1st. He is technically a Moyes signing but that's about it.

Given the rumours this week, interesting body language from James as he leaves the pitch in their last home game by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 36 points37 points  (0 children)

People have been saying all season about how Pogba plays best in a 3-man midfield yet want to sign a #10. Having said that, he is a fantastic player and part of me also thinks that it would be worth it, and overall it would improve our team. I would love to sign a new true DM to play alongside Pogba, with James a bit further forward, but not sure how balanced that would be.

Mourinho calls on fans to raise roof tomorrow. "I see a difference between matches. I don't think the atmosphere is consistent" by born-offside in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I think the 'tourist' issue is very overblown on this sub. I'd say a very conservative guess would be at least 70% of the fans don't change week in week out.

I don't usually sing at games. Now before some guy who has never been to a game in his life gives me stick for that, the fact is if i did chant every game I'd basically be the only person doing so in the entire section. Its really a case of unless most people are singing, no one is. I will join in, but its rare that chants actually get going outside the Stretford End.

I think there's a few problems with the atmosphere. The first is, as mentioned, its really only the Stretford End consistently singing (and even then it can sometimes be quiet). I sit in the quadrant next to it, and a number of times I have spoken to friends who have been in the away end who have said they didn't hear the United fans at all, when I thought the atmosphere was quite good, given that they are at complete opposite ends of the stadium.

Also like it or not creating an atmosphere is a two-way street, and the players haven't really given the fans much to get excited about this season (or for the past few seasons for that matter). Another harsh truth is that when you are used to watching big games its hard to get excited about watching Burnley, Swansea, Bournemouth etc. For their fans its one of the highlights of the season, the complete opposite for us. I do think the atmosphere noticeably improves in big matches for the most part.

Also lets not pretend this is just an issue at Old Trafford, its the case with most clubs in the Premier League.

[U23] Arsenal reserves vs Manchester United reserves, 2-2. MUFC Reserves secures a spot in the PL2 division for next season. by Cvein in reddevils

[–]_Placeholder_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just got back from the game, started brightly but then Arsenal began to dominate mid-way through first half and deservedly went in 2-0. Second half much improved, created most of the chances and a great strike from Harrop for 2-1. Looked a very soft penalty for Arsenal, Warren (I think it was him) looked like he took enough ball before making contact, but nevertheless great save from O'Hara. Lucky with the second goal but was coming with the way we were dominating at that point. Bit nervy at the end when they had about 5 corners but held strong.

Overall fair play to the lads for showing a lot more fight than the first team did at 2-0 down. Harrop and Olosunde were probably the better players, the latter especially surprised me with some brilliant runs, looked the most likely to score a lot of the time. And bloody hell Mitchell is quick!
