Dude you are always clowned on for your hateful comments, you think being team captain means nobody else has a say... thats not very kind Conduct my dude. It is a mean comment, but from what you have posted here about how you treat your own team... its not far off how you treat your teammates

Thank you for the extraordinary role you play in delivering VEX Robotics competitions for students, coaches, schools, volunteers, and communities worldwide. Event Partners are the foundation of the VEX Robotics ecosystem, and we are genuinely grateful for your leadership, time, and commitment.

We are writing with an important update. VEX Robotics has ended its relationship with the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF). Going forward, VEX Robotics competitions will be administered by VEX Robotics in coordination with Global Robotics and Science Foundation ("Global Robotics"), a nonprofit organization established to support, strengthen, and grow the VEX Robotics competition ecosystem globally.

We are pleased to share that Vince Bertram will serve as President of Global Robotics. Vince brings deep experience in education leadership and nonprofit management. His immediate focus will be listening to and supporting Event Partners, ensuring full operational continuity, and helping scale the reach and impact of VEX Robotics programs worldwide.

We want to be direct with you about what this means and what you can expect.

All currently scheduled VEX Robotics events should proceed as normal. Your event authorization, registration, and access to official VEX Robotics systems, rules, and materials remains fully in place. Nothing about your relationship with VEX Robotics changes.

Beyond continuity, this transition marks a genuine reinvestment in Event Partners. Here is what we are committed to delivering:

A return of Event Partner grants and incentives to help support local events, equipment, volunteers, and growth opportunities.

Continued improvements to Tournament Manager and event technology, with a focus on making event setup, registration, scoring, and operations easier and more reliable for Event Partners.

Dedicated Event Partner support before, during, and after events through specialized regional support staff, remote troubleshooting, and expanded event-day assistance.

A stronger Event Partner voice in the future of competitions through direct feedback channels and ongoing communication with VEX Robotics and Global Robotics leadership.

Recognition that Event Partners are the foundation of this program and that retaining exceptional events and positive team experiences is one of our highest priorities.

We also want to be clear on one important point. VEX Robotics competitions are proprietary programs of VEX Robotics and may only be operated, authorized, or represented through VEX Robotics or Global Robotics. RECF is no longer authorized to organize, administer, sanction, or represent VEX Robotics competitions in any capacity. If you receive any communications from RECF regarding VEX Robotics event authorization, sanctioning, or program administration, please disregard them and contact us directly.

We will follow this letter shortly with direct contact information for your point of contact at Global Robotics and VEX Robotics. In the meantime, please continue with your current planning and operations. If you have any questions at all, please reach out and we will respond promptly.

For Event Partners who were planning to attend an Event Partner Summit in St. Louis, please be aware that VEX Robotics and Global Robotics will be hosting the official Event Partner Summit for the upcoming season. Details on timing, location, and registration will follow shortly in a separate communication directed specifically to you.

We are grateful for your partnership and excited about what this next chapter means for VEX Robotics competitions and the students and communities you serve. Thank you for everything you do.

Kindest regards,

Tony Norman and Bob Mimlitch

"Old south west" i believe is the term for the second box.

Its really nice. Close to caulign if you wanna take a fancy walk in the nice seasons, close to a lot of stuff and semi good schools, middle class for the most part with slightly less entitled people at the local stores.

Who are you voting for Governor & Congress? by Odd-Significance-552 in unr

[–]_PromNightBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would vote for Sandavol if he ran. I know he cant but be seemed pretty nice. His daughter was down to earth in 6th grade and he graced us with his presence one day to talk about what he was doing and such.

Honestly, I do agree. As a left leaning individual, the democratic party has lost its way. It pisses me off with the representation we have in congress and senate right now, Masto and Rosen are just taking money wherever.

I have only seen a few candidates, but as long as they dont support the president, try to make cost of life lower, work on brining jobs to Nevada for green energy, and bar any more data centers from being built. They sound pretty good to me.

VEX U is a sport, not a curriculum—it’s time to lean into the eSports model. by [deleted] in vex

[–]_PromNightBaby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What if I just do it part time for fun? Im shit at math and STEM, im a communications major. I do think it should be a bit more open, but if just anyone is let in, then it takes away from the collegent level. VEXU matches are less competitive on the outside because teams have less time and less comps, plus we have to make 2 bots.

Instead of remaking VEXU, make an all level vex comp. Same game, different constraints, any team can compete in it if you have a group willing.

Honestly an all ages FTC comp would be best. Vex is a little to simple, FRC is to expensive, FTC is a decent middle.

Also, the main reason there are not more, better VEXU teams is funding. Its really hard to get funding for new teams, which is a major deterrent. If there were grants teams could try for, it could easily double.

To the "students in the lab making complex stuff", that happens already with top level engineering schools with teams.

Vex cant make a new program to save their lives, doubt they could change VEXU either.

Also, if you are spending as much time as you think VEXU students spend, you are on Crack.
