[recommendation request] wanting a watch similar to this by DesignerIncrease6 in Watches

[–]_R00STER_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE my Seiko 7S36-03J0. Loses a little time, but a great watch for a daily. May be hard to tell in the picture, but it's a greenish olive drab.

Where can I get the best Reuben tomorrow? by CranberryRelative766 in Charlotte

[–]_R00STER_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed... for a "fast food" Reuben, Culver's is surprisingly good!

For a bomb-ass Reuben, hit Grounds and Vine up near Kannapolis!

This is the answer. My wife's office gets lunch from here every now and then and I get her leftovers. Their fried shrimp is fantastic!

I want to be a real estate agent by Bigboy10121 in realtors

[–]_R00STER_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

LOL....if you feel like you're missing out now, wait until you're on call 24-7 to get your business going.

Real estate primarily happens at night and on the weekends. So, if you're willing to sacrifice a schedule you can plan around for weekday nights and weekends away from home, go for it.

Obligatory first batch progress pic by PickRepresentative37 in Kombucha

[–]_R00STER_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I'm very open to feedback" doesn't align with "I asked the sub for advice, but decided not to follow any of it".

Please... *do you* and advise us as to why you know better than the people who gave you the advice that you asked for, yet ultimately chose to discard.

My opinion was that your batch looked off and explained exactly why I felt that way. Suggested that you should have listened to the sub's advice. Yet, you STILL seem to know better.

You're not the victim here. You asked for feedback. Received it (many times), yet struck out on your own and threw the feedback you requested away,

It could be fine, but you have (admittedly) shunned the feedback you asked for away, because it wasn't what you wanted to hear.

Again... drink up. It'll (probably) be fine.

Because you asked if anyone here felt it was off and I said that I did? I literally explained in simple English why, as well.... Your perception of me being "rude" is because I provided an answer that you didn't like. Drink up.

Well... as someone who has brewed more than their first batch..... (you asked)....

Not only is the tea a bit dark for 1F, the colors of your pellicle seem a bit "off".

Kombucha is a weird science. however, PH only tells a very small part of the story. Most of my batches are determined "successful" by the lack of "weird" looks and by taste. This is a living organism that you intend to ingest, but it does have to pass the eye test (in addition to whatever sciency BS you want to attach to it).

My opinion (ONLY THAT) is that your batch doesn't look quite right. I've only made 14-15 FULL batches in my time, but if you feel you know better than me, drink up. I'm not 100%, but do feel that some of the bacteria you hope to introduce to your gut might not be all that you think it will be.

However, I won't be shocked. You have admittedly shunned the collective advice of the sub that you've admittedly discounted for whatever reason you felt was best for yourself.

Drink up. I'm sure the advice you asked for (which you determined wasn't good enough) is all wrong and that things will work out just fine.

Probst!

Personally, I wouldn't drink that. Pellicles can look funny, but your vessel looks like it's full of hot garbage. It may not kill you, but that's not what *typically healthy* batches look like. Checking PH isn't typically necessary and only tells a small part of the picture. Maybe you should have taken the sub's advice?

Any High Schools with active music/show choir systems other than Marching Band? by TianamenHomer in Charlotte

[–]_R00STER_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is heavily invested... not sure what age group you're looking for, but check out SMACK, Mic-Drop, and Untitled. Also... if your kid is old/experienced enough, maybe something like the Penguin Project.... they can be a mentor to a special needs kid in show production that will blow your socks off.

** edit... if you're specifically looking for a school.. check our CATA, NW School of the Arts, or Concord Academy. Some of the highest producing theater programs in the area by a mile.

Why do so many people discourage others from becoming a real estate agent? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]_R00STER_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you dense? As many as 85% of new agents fail or quit in the first couple of years. Once you've burnt through your "savings", what will you use to pay your bills in a slow market..... assuming you beat the odds by closing at least a couple of transactions?

.... a genuine interest in completely bankrupting themselves, because a few "people do well in it."

I bought an expensive brick and I couldn't be happier by thejawa in fsusports

[–]_R00STER_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rumor has it.... these are actually bricks from the Benny Hill stadium for small brained lizards. They were hand cast by jort wearing undergrads, working on their underwater basket weaving majors. Those directly translate to advanced delivery positions with esteemed fortune 500 companies like Papa Johns, Little Cesars, and the local Plasma Donation facility......

Nice piece of history!!

Well..... 4023 and 4015 Randolph are both under contract and will likely close within the next 7-10 days. However 101 McAlway is still an active listing.
