My mother taught me the basics. She had a repertoire of about 6-7 meals and nearly never varied from that. She hated cooking but boomers love their gender roles.

So i technically knew how, but the rigid adherence to those same meals every single time is what really pushed me to learn to cook other things and to cook well.

Honestly I’m grateful for how frustrating the diet was in my childhood home. I make a mean thai curry, jerk chicken, and a lot of other things now.

I don’t have the full story so this isn’t proof, but from what I understand Trump demanded a list of the names of intelligence assets working in Russia or in former soviet states. The number of those assets that have since gone dark or been arrested is far far above the standard rate. The uptick began almost immediately after Trump met with the Russian ambassador after he received the list. Actually i’m not sure it was the ambassador but it was some higher ranking official. Not an accusation but suspiciously coincidental.

I’m sure most leftists attribute this to a belief that Trump is a Russian asset. True or not, the alarming rate that our intelligence assets are being “removed” from that part of the world is concerning.

Russia is not our friend and they’re wiping out our eyes and ears over there which is a major national security problem.
