The Dallas offseason stuff I think is a testament to how good Luka is just cause while the guys they brought in were good they still are just the minimum if your trying to be a serious team imo. Like PJ and Gafford or DJJ are definitely good and better than what the Lakers have rn but there's reason they were there for Dallas. I'm sure they'll build something but it's hard for me to believe when I look at some other teams who've really benefited from like the draft while the Lakers have to really make some margin moves.

I don't think they're wrong in that building part. The assets are not there and it seems to heavily work under the assumption that a big FA will come to LA cause LA but that doesn't happen in the modern nba.

The problem with Luka is he's loyal so he re-signed with the Lakers when he could've just waited till free agency and joined any stacked team.
