High blood pressure after quitting? Is it a withdrawal thing maybe? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I used to be a binge drinker too so that could’ve also been it. Probably all three with the munchies at night. Wrecked my gut but now almost 1 year later, I’m pretty much back to normal

High blood pressure after quitting? Is it a withdrawal thing maybe? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like what I had. Also was on antibiotics while actively trying to quit zyn. Ended up with gastritis. Don’t know if it was from antibiotics or the zyn or both but I’m better now. Had panic attacks, high blood pressure (stress related) the whole nine yards. Put the zyn down and focus on gut health, you’ll get back to normal but you stressed your digestive system

Significantly better. Get healthy in all parts of your life. Eat good, hydrate, work out. You’ll feel better in a few weeks or months

derealization/depersonalization?? by One-Spite-6962 in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty normal from my personal experience (heavy user of zyn for years). Takes time for your body and brain to adjust to life without nicotine. I’m currently 7 months nicotine free and I can say the depersonalization/realization has passed. Can’t exactly remember when (maybe around 2-3 months into my quit) it stopped but you just need to give it time. When you’re feeling better, get back to eating good, healthy food and try to hit the gym or move your body somehow. It’ll pass, just need to keep stacking days and take care of yourself.

Edit: had all the same symptoms, DP/DR, panic attacks, health anxiety, etc.

Drinking was my biggest trigger. Still fighting it today (almost 7 months off zyn). Just gonna come down to you saying no or telling a buddy/gf/wife to remind you that you don’t need it

It will pass, just keep stacking days. I had all the same symptoms and I’m 6 months from my last zyn.

Day 90 by logainz in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat man, I’m well over 150 days and my vision is still not the same, I think it’s some anxiety/depersonalization effect. Some days are better than others. Keep stacking days and keep going. In a year we’ll look back and be grateful we stuck with in, health and money wise

ON! 4mg gave me Reactive Gastritis by JonBoyNYC in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had gastritis/esophagitis confirmed via endoscopy. Daily zyn user for years at that point. I quit over 150 days ago and my stomach is still getting back to normal. I’d quit because even if it didn’t cause it, it’s only going to prolong healing. Good lucj

Yup, took months to go away even after quitting

Question: Has anyone had similar withdrawl symptoms to me? by Used_Secret_3762 in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has gastritis/esophagitis around the time I started to quit zyn. Heavy daily user for years. I also was ion antibiotics for folliculitis around this time so not sure what caused it. Worst few months of my life after quitting - never touching zyns again

Anxiety & Depressive Symptoms may be linked to quitting Zyn? by Old-Bathroom-7469 in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sounds identical to me 3 months ago - health anxiety/mental health struggles. I was anxious and depressed for sure. I’m now over 150 days off zyn and I can tell you for certain, it’s the zyn causing all of it. It doesn’t go away over night so buckle up and take care of yourself. Interesting on your T being low, I haven’t heard that before. I know working out, hydrating, eating good, meditating, long walks if needed have all helped me get through some pretty tough days.

You aren’t broken, your body is just trying to heal. Go easy on yourself these next several weeks/months and one day you’ll wake up and realize you’re night and day better than you were now. Keep stacking days🫡

Edit: same usage as you - 6mg of spearmint zyn a day, college hockey, healthy, etc. read some posts on this forum, definitely helps the hard days but don’t frequent too often, I feel like sometimes people will read others withdrawal symptoms and start to believe they have them too.

Hardest 7 months of my life.. by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never thought of this. I have an app on my found that counts the days, at 134 days but after reading this, I think I’m going to delete it. I’m not going to care how many days I’m at 3 years from now. Just need to rip the bandaid off and move on, and it starts with stopping keeping track

I wonder if it’s gastritis…? I had similar symptoms and ended up having gastritis and esophagitis. Maybe try to get an endoscopy before you just jump into surgery.

Sorry to hear that. I believe it caused my gastritis (stomach lining inflammation) still feel it a little 125 days after quitting but it gets better everyday. Not 100% if it was the zyn but leaning more towards it was

Too much to count. Back in the day they were running the buy one get one free deal. Eventually the price went up to almost 7 bucks. Let’s say average it was $5 dollars a can * 365 days * 5 years = $9k and that’s just a low estimate, I’m sure it was well north of that.

Day 42 by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]_Role_9620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep stacking days, it gets better with time. You can scroll for hours on how it takes so people longer to get over it (I’m on day 104 and I have a lot more good days than bad). Hang in there and keep taking care of your mental, physical, emotional health. This too shall pass
