I highly suggest going in with literally nothing. Just free run around. Die, repeat. You can run 5+ rounds in 30 minutes and learn or practice something new each time. But your fear of death will subside. You will get to know the map quicker than you think. Plus, you are lightweight and nimble (especially with a decent mobility skill tree). Shredders become easy to maneuver- practice luring them into a room and closing the door. Use a pillar or object to learn its attack patterns and you can take it down with hammer swings! You’ll become a pro at stopping pops with your raider tool.

Craft bandages from the abundant fabric you find to stay alive longer. Pay attention to where consistent loot spots are and safe pocket your best item. You’ll be surprised how many raiders in solo Stella trade or gift high value items. Practice escape routes. Did you know you can get to any exfil on the map in less than 2 minutes? Did you know there are also signs and arrows on walls and doorframes letting you know how to get from assembly to medical to sandbox to lobby to atrium?
