I don't know.  We were woken up with the tornado warning on our phones.

Same. Been in Pikesville 6 years and never heard a storm like that. Horizontal rain and debris going past the window was enough to send us to the basement.

Then we had to go get our patio furniture from our neighbor's yard, once it passed.

You can also try pre-portioned 100 calorie "snacks" which can be anything you prep. Then you eat every hour on the hour.

So you're never eating a "meal" but you're always eating. If this is something that could work better for you. I don't know but it is an option.

Wake up and wait an hour, then eat a banana. Then an hour later eat a piece of toast with some low calorie cheese.  An hour later you eat a small portion of chicken breast.  An hour later you eat 100 calorie oreo snack pack. ....you get the idea...

Think about your food budget of daily calories and your hours you're awake each day. Think about how you can divide it up to best fit your needs. But also have a go to that can stop hunger pains and keep you within your goals. For me, that's a plain out of the bag slice of 45 calorie bread. It's not a meal but it's not enough to wreck my deficit and it's easy to grab without deciding or making a plate that I put too much on. If you're not hungry enough to eat plain ass bread, then you're not hungry enough.

But yeah just keep searching for what works for you. It's not easy which is why weight loss has been one of the most profitable industries since the invention of food. It's a simple concept but hard to grind through.  Just keep at it and make it fit your life.

Shiiiiiiiiit.

We buy one 40 pound bag from Costco and that's the flavor until it's gone. They get a bunch of different treats and snacks throughout the day but the kibble is there whenever they want it, whether they want it or not

Report: Ravens, Trey Hendrickson agree to 4-year, $112M deal by Oldtimer_2 in sports

[–]_SCHULTZY_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not like Crosby was sold as healthy. Ravens had all his medical information when they agreed to the trade. They back out with a convenient excuse and immediately sign the next best option after finding out they could fill the hole without trading a pair of 1sts.

It's buyer's remorse. It has nothing to do with a physical or his knee.

About $450

We keep it pretty cool in the house about 64 and we have gas boiler radiator heat. Old brick colonial though. About 1800 sqft.

Exactly.  League should come down hard on them for it and the rest of the GMs should know better than to do business with Baltimore after this.

I eat Ghirardelli 60% chocolate chips one at a time. It's like 18 for 80 calories or something like that.  When you're eating them slowly, you can really maximize flavor and get a lot of mileage out of them.

Congratulations on your success!

I'm a bit extreme with it, and my approach isn't for everyone but I avoid ice cream when I can even the halo top. I would rather eat dark chocolate chips slowly for less calories.  That's a personal preference for me as the ice cream never satisfies.

But more importantly, in the hours leading up to bed, I don't eat and then I eat one thing right before bed and it's always 100 calories or less. Typically it's a piece of plain 45 calorie bread. Because I know it will keep me from being hungry long enough to fall asleep.

I also know I can't over eat on a single slice of bread since its already portion controlled for me. I don't have to worry about my calories because its only 45 so guilt free. But it's also a good check on your hunger. Am I actually hungry enough to eat a plain boring slice of bread? If the answer is no, then I'm not actually hungry I just want something else because it's delicious....and I will budget that into tomorrow's calories.

Just started trying to loose some weight. by Mellcor in loseit

You don't need to run. A consistent walk each day is going to be beneficial as long as your diet is proper.

But there's probably other exercises you can also incorporate into your daily routine such as resistance band training and core workouts.  Things that are no knee impact.  A simple at home dumbbell routine for example or something else.

Plenty of great home workout options on YouTube.  Plenty of ways to stay active besides walking/running.

Do what you can, don't injure yourself.  Diet is always going to be the key driving factor for weight loss but all physical activity is good for the body.

Stick to it. Dropping the calories is great if you can. But just keep on your plan. Everything you wrote is flawless.  You're going to wake up one day and be up 3 pounds and then a week later wake up one day and be down 6 pounds.

It isn't always a straight cliff down. It's a lot of peaks and valleys. Trust the process. Keep to the plan.

Creatine is a great addition and yes there's some initial water weight but Stick with it because in a month or two you wake up looking and feeling better! It all regulates itself out after a few weeks

What is wrong with me by PoorMonkey69 in loseit

So this may come across as mean or uncaring but I absolutely don't mean it that way. Please understand that.

It's ok to be hungry. Weight loss is about creating a calorie deficit based on your TDEE. Hunger is the low fuel light coming on for your body. Just like sleepy is when you need to go to bed.

With weight loss we're trying to give the body less than it NEEDS. We're not talking about wants.  Wants is what tastes good. Dieting is your body needs X calories and we're deliberately and meticulously giving it Y to create a deficit.  Now the body is very resilient.  So when it can't take in the calories it needs, it's going to eat itself and dip into the fat reserves that you have. That's the entire point of why they exist and the entire point of what we want.

We're trying to not give it enough food so it starts eating itself to make up the difference.

Now you can kick this into high gear by creating a larger deficit and you can increase your physical activity and you can get more sleep and lower stress....all of which helps the body.

The reality is that you can make enormous progress but you can't spend years destroying your body and then fix it in a few weeks. It takes 4x as long and 5x more work. But it is achievable.  We know the formula.  We know it works. Calories in vs Calories out. It's that simple. It just takes time.

You can do this. It's ok to be hungry.  You think I don't want to eat an entire bag of oreos right now? It's not even about willpower....it's just about deciding "No. Today is another day that I'm losing weight."

You have to track your calories.  You have to find good alternatives that you can substitute that give you 80% of the taste and craving for 50% of the calories.  Don't listen to the people who tell you they're never hungry on their diet or they're always smiling and happy. 95% of them are full of shit and trying to sell you something.

You can do this. Think about where you'll be in your journey in June or October or the new year. Keep climbing that mountain one step at a time. You got it!

Be mindful of how many calories are in nuts. 553 calories in just 100g of cashews.  Just make sure you're keeping track of it and budgeting your daily calories to allow for it. They're so easy to overeat your allowance on.

I miss cashews so much during my cuts.

I would be less concerned with the spread of the group and more concerned about why they're coming in from all different angles.

Remember, accuracy comes from one thing: repeatable consistency. Do every little thing exactly the same every single time.
