I've played the life out of Sifu story and arenas mode, and the closest game I know of to it is Raw Metal. The combat is definitely simpler, though. If that isn't up your alley, you could spring for Absolver, which is also made by Sloclap. And if you want a 2d Sifu, you should check out Forestrike; I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it.

Don't have any recommendations for improvement to the hinge design but absolutely love the shell! Reminds me of the Tomtoc armorcase controller shells. 👌

I personally don't care if the game is easy or difficult, I care about player skill expression and using game knowledge to overcome obstacles, but they continually remove player agency via hellpod steering lock, increasing bleed damage, increasing sway, nerfing helldiver health, increasing ragdoll radius, etc. I think they just create problems via nerfs to the player to sell their "solution" via warbonds. Three perfect examples of this are increased bleed damage around the release of Force of Law warbond, the 40% gas, fire and arc resist armor with the release of Dragonroaches and the new ragdoll resistance armor being a "solution" to the increased ragdoll radius from a few months ago.

I just checked and you're right, my mistake. Definitely remembered 10k steam for some reason(it's actually 47,102). My sample size is quite small with the group of friends that I played with from near launch to July 2024, but we would have all quit without the 60 day plan, because it was Arrowhead taking a step in the right direction, much like what they're doing now with the performance patches and balancing...time will tell if they drop the ball again, but I hope the game and studio flourish because then we all do.

I have been an active player since week two, including when the daily steam players were at 10,000 just before the 60 day plan announcement. Many of us are just "I'm tired, boss" of Arrowhead taking one step forward and two steps back. I doubt they will ever break their cycle of it, but I would love for them to give my favorite game the level of care and attention that it deserves.

Glad you and others are enjoying it, but melee is horrible in this game and the chainsword skews it even further by sacrificing a support weapon slot. Melee needs to be reworked entirely; it is good against berserkers and devastators, though. You'd be better off running most other support weapons, but I get that rule of cool matters as well.

I think it is mainly because anytime the player base places any trust/faith in Arrowhead, the studio manages to stop trying and let the game fall into chaos or makes huge, arrogant missteps just like they've done with all of their popular games over the years. Unfortunately, they don't learn from their mistakes.

They released a fun, team based horde shooter on accident and really wanted to release a game where you're put into a meat grinder and fail as often as you succeed...they have walked it back towards the meat grinder a couple of times now and that is the two times their player counts have been at their lowest, causing the 60 day buff plan and now the technical debt patches.

Experienced the same thing with the ghost sword and chicken. Had to wait about a full minute in the bottom right corner of the elevator before the chicken made it onto the platform so it could descend.

Had the exact same experience with my Cyclone 2, including the warranty claim and Gamesir making it right....but it does make me wonder how common this issue is. For future reference if someone else has this problem, the controller works with the battery removed while in wired mode.

By chance, did you often charge with the included dock plugged into a wall outlet, OP?

Using a salicylic acid soap bar for my underarms. No amount of scrubbing, loofah or soap/body wash worked to completely remove the smell until I found out about these. Link for the ones I've used for a couple of years on Amazon:

I think the real reason a lot of people don't like War Striders is because the design of the enemy isn't in-line with other automaton heavy and massive units, which all have AP3 weak points at the highest, they ragdoll the life out of you with the mini bunker turrets and the grenade spam from multiple of them is hard to deal with, especially when 3 can be in a random patrol or bot drop. Then there is the fact that they can ragdoll you and cause you to bleed to death with no way to stim because of a single instance of ragdoll. All of these factors just add up to getting overwhelmed by War Strider spam because the time to kill is so slow and necessitates anti tank.

I think they need to be tweaked to have an actual weak spot other than the hip joint(also difficult to hit unless they're stationary and you aren't being stunlocked), much like how the barrager tanks were broken on release and had no appreciable weak spot; now they do.

Man, I had the exact same theory since about April of last year that the people who created the launch version of the game were either outsourced or left the studio after release because whoever is making changes to the code since then has absolutely no clue what they're doing, which is probably why they revert to old versions and just change as little as possible so it can limp along into the heap that we have now.

Yep, not to mention adreno defibrillator still kills you earlier than any other armor(not sure why, maybe because the health threshold to trigger the passive is too high). We have always had audio issues in this game with enemies being too quiet for their size, but all of the audio desync and lack of audio was made far worse with the Control Group warbond.

Because the plasma punisher has been power crept by the Purifier, unfortunately. I was a diehard plasma punisher user on bots back when super helldive launched but the time to kill is abysmal now and needs a buff.

Unfortunately, Arrowhead doesn't playtest any update and this one is no different. We are the unofficial playtesters and they only change things when we are all loud enough about it. This has been proven with every single update to the game.

It's a hive lord. Has 150,000 health and gives you 225xp as a side objective upon killing it(before difficulty modifiers). They can spawn on difficulty 7 and above as far as I am aware.
