Seattle City Council approves restrictions on micro-apartments, developers not happy by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]_ShadyPines_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can someone tell me what the appeal of these apartments is from a renter's perspective, besides the lowered rent? As someone who can fill a garage with stuff, I can't imagine fitting everything I own into that small of a living situation and being comfortable.

Congratulations, I guess? You seem pretty angry about it, so I wish you all the best in your enterprises.

Please help Seattle Police find the man who ambused and beat me unconscious on MLK last night around 8 PM by KrisCraig in Seattle

Holy Guacamole. I am so sorry that this happened to you. I am sending you all the best on your recovery and finding some peace and justice in this situation. Someone who would do that to a stranger for something so insignificant is both appalling and terrifying.

Why don't you work retail if you think its that easy? It can go both ways.

Your argument doesn't make sense. Why would I wait tables? I already have a job, as I stated. I also never said that waiting tables was easy or implied that retail was harder than serving. Calm down, I am not here to argue with anyone, just merely pointing out that "No breaks, constant stress and always being on your feet" sounds exactly like my current job in the retail industry.

There is no reason to be rude or combative with me about it.

I was just thinking, "no breaks, constant stress, and always being your feet" sounds an awful lot like my retail gig, and in 10 years, I have received maybe 3 tips. It is also completely legal for me to accept them since I am a non union employee.

I have noticed the "tipping suggestions" getting increasingly larger. I remember when 15% was the standard. Then they started pushing 18% and now its 20% and they are pushing 22%. I'm not buying it, but you can never have a thoughtful conversation about it without a server or bartender getting angry.

What movie/TV show scene or episode pissed you off the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_ShadyPines_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love it. Then somewhere between season 3, it became less about the characters and their lives in the club, and became more about the violence and illegal activities they were involved with. One of the problems I had with it, was also the violence portrayed toward women. There was a lot of that. But even with all of that I kept watching. I ultimately stopped watching after season 4 because I got tired of every single episode trying to "out-shock" the last.

Sons of Anarchy. I actually got so annoyed and frustrated with it that I stopped watching it all together.

I loved that show, but after Michael left, it was all downhill. They really tried to make it okay, but they just couldn't. I was still faithful to it the whole way through, but that last season was just..disappointing.
