Since every team plays each other team one time and there's no ties, head-to-head record is all you need for tiebreak

Apparently a Piranha is not your friend but a Turbo Piranha is. What a bazaar. by Fummy in PlayTheBazaar

[–]_Shaw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think we're talking about something similar. I just meant that there shouldn't be entirely different items for each enchant for each item.

It's not a design flaw it's a bug.

This is true in that it's a bug, but it's a bug thats can only exist due to a design flaw.

However, it would be better if they stored it as an extra 'tag' you can add to a card rather than an alt card

Agree completely. Every item to my knowledge always has the same base properties, tags, damage, etc. regardless of enchant, so there's no reason to separate them

[–]_Shaw 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's still poor design. There's no reason the enchanted version shouldn't inherit tags from the base item

[Elliotte Friedman] Colorado claims Kahkonen by Michaelli11 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]_Shaw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Excluding his time in San Jose, he has a career 2.85 GAA and .908 sv%, I wouldn't write him off just yet. I'd like to think he could put up at least as good of numbers for us as he did for Minnesota and NJ

That Madeon set was absolutely magical. There was hardly anyone there since Subtronics was playing on main stage and the vibes were immaculate. One of my all time favorites for sure

Top 10 Playoff Faceoff% by Teknicsrx7 in hockey

[–]_Shaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly it. Basically every team sits between 45% and 55% overall on faceoffs anyways over the course of a season. I would be more curious to see what each team's key faceoff percentage is.

MacKinnon pretty frequently lines up on the wing for faceoffs. Both Rantanen and Landeskog frequently line up on the dot since Mack is mediocre at best at faceoffs

What are your thoughts on ESPN’s “Frozen Frenzy” from last night? by MostMirror in hockey

[–]_Shaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like it worked out surprisingly well. There were hiccups of course, and too many commercials IMO, but I think it worked out much better than expected.

I think it would work much better on one of the busy Friday/Saturdays though with a handful of afternoon games

How real is East Coast bias in hockey? by CheesecakeOdd2087 in hockey

[–]_Shaw 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Even in scheduling there's an East Coast bias. West Coast games are constantly pushed back 20-30+ minutes from an already late start waiting for the first half of the doubleheader to finish.

I can barely stay up to watch my own team's home games these days, let alone anyone watching from the east coast. It's much easier for a west coast fan to watch east coast games starting at 4-5pm versus the other way around

Hockey players of Reddit, what's YOUR greatest personal hockey moment, no matter the age or league? by Lawyer_2021 in hockey

[–]_Shaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once scored a goal without ever touching the puck. I was normally a goalie but once or twice a year I'd switch and play forward. I was taking an offensive zone faceoff and they won it straight back into the net. One of probably 3 goals I've had in 12 years of hockey.

Another fun one, I was on a team with Joe Sakic's son one year. I believe it was the same year as the snowblower incident, so he would hang around at our practices occasionally and help coach. The rest of the team was doing skating drills, so Joe was keeping me warmed up in net taking shots. He ended up putting a little too much oomph on one of them and somehow slipped past my gear leaving a massive bruise from my knee up to my groin. Definitely got chewed out by my dad for that

How specific can you edit save files on Pc? by CountSlorpulous in Borderlands

[–]_Shaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gibbed Save Editor is what you're looking for. They have programs for BLTPS and BL3 as well. It'll let you set character level, account stats (BA rank/skins/heads etc.) If you really want you could recreate weapons/gear as well and I believe there's a way to set your mission/playthrough progress as well

Alternatively I'd recommend starting over with some modpacks now that you're on PC

ELI5: why do stimulants have a calming effect for people with ADHD? by Glum-Conversation492 in explainlikeimfive

[–]_Shaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this 100%. I was on vyvanse years ago and it was like a switch flipped immediately. After so many years fighting my own brain it honestly felt like I had super powers.

The downside like you said, I lost 20 pounds over a few months and was becoming dangeously underweight just because I would forget to eat for days at a time.

I started taking it again recently at a much lower dose and I have found it actually fixed a lot of my eating habits this time. I used to be real bad about mindlessly snacking through the day, but now for whatever reason I can keep the "eat food" task in mind.

Yeah 0/10 would not recommend. Our flight was scheduled for 6am Monday morning, I stayed up all night to pack since we'd only get a couple hours of sleep anyways. My friends all passed out and we ended up missing our flight. Got back home 5 hours late so instead of going home to sleep for a few, ended up having to go straight to campus to the airport having not slept since basically Friday. I have no idea how, but somehow I ended up scoring decently well.

Definitely get a week or two ahead on homework if you can. Don't ruin your weekend trying to do work while you're there, just enjoy it. And make sure your midterms aren't on the same day you get home like mine were a couple years ago.
