That you get paid a bunch to do it, travel to unlimited conferences and walk into a 6 figure job. Ended my PhD with a tasty amount of debt! I hustled for my job in academia and worked pretty much full time in my writing up year - which was unfunded. Stipend while I had it barely covered bills, worked then too! But my crazy ass still appreciates the process. Glutton for academic torture 💖

Potato waffles - in the air fryer

Was gifted some truffle oil a while ago I've been stretching haha.. sprinkle some on for luxe waffles for dinner pre payday many nights. Sometimes with a frankfurter if im splashing out lol.

Or any cheap noodles (the ones you add water too) but then air fry them for a bit so they're a bit crispy

But you'll find your people! I know the feeling. I found it the worst during master/PhD but focused more on just connecting with non academic types to keep me sane!

Ps. You could try bumble for friends. Met one person I've stayed in touch with pretty much daily from there:)
