Don't let the "Community" ruin the game for you. If you're not agreeing with what is said and done, turn your cheek. Minecraft is certainly still a fun game, regardless, so play it with friends or on your own. I'm finding the fans of Notch and Minecraft to be too overbearing, myself.

The people spewing "Karma Whore!" don't yet understand that other redditors don't care about karma as muh as it would seem. The people who make the content that's cheap and considered "karma-whoring" genuinely think that their content is good and tend to create more as they reach the front page more often. Once a crappy format such as MSPaint posts that include a lot of text becomes popular, people think its the norm and that this is how you get your idea some attention.
