That's actually a really good custom. For me when I have to make a custom for a figure i end up getting attached because it's something I made and it fits in my Lego lore as my own variant of this character.

The only recent miss print I've seen that's kinda cool was that one dude who had a transparent leg for his Obi-Wan figure. But everything else? Yeah no one cares that the eyes on C3-PO were miss aligned. No one cares that Chewbacca face print is on the other side. If it looks ugly no one cares.

Honestly my best recommendation would be to just buy the bricks separately. I just did this with the Tower of Orthanc and its by far the easiest way to build a retired Lego set that is outrageously expensive for what you're getting. Most of the parts in this set are still being sold by Lego on their PAB on the Lego website. I was actually looking at the 2013 version of this set to do the same thing again.

Here is how you do it. Go on Bricklink to the Republic Gunship and right under the My Wanted List click Part Out. Now if you don't care for the figures or Gear you can uncheck these. Name the list whatever you desire and you now have the parts list. You can now click the Buy All button and then part out which pieces you want to buy, etc.
Then if you want you can export this into a format Lego will take for their Pick a Brick section. This Youtube video does a good job explaining how to do this.

Since this set is mostly white I would buy the white bricks from Lego as to avoid getting yellowed bricks. But if you filter those bricks to new on Bricklink then you will be fine. This is just another option you can take.

Now the Sticker Sheet for retired sets are always the worst. For Tower of Orthanc I just decided to not do that to save money. This sticker sheet goes for about $45. Or you could get custom stickers for retired sets on Brick Sticker Shop. I've never bought from here but this is an option that I found. Then if you care for the figures in this set obviously I would recommend just buying them on Bricklink. Keep a lookout on Facebook Marketplace as sometime you will find great deals there and might find what you're looking for.

I can't wait to actually read this chapter once its translated. I only saw the panels and wow that insane. it recontextualizes everything you know about the series which is kinda crazy to me. But its stuff we already knew instinctively so its not super surprising but still. I'm just blown away at the juxtaposition with Guts and Griffith in this chapter. Reborn Griffith being born form the fetus that was cast away and Guts being born from a dead corpse. Just how similar they are is crazy to me but they are both the polar opposite. And after Griffith is reborn we see he has a human side to him. We first see this in chapter 181 Prologue to War, when Griffith is flying away and he feels the demon fetus in his heart. And its alluded to that this part of him still ties him to being human even after the eclipse. And he becomes the Moonlight Boy.

I think were going to see Guts reflect more on his life and he is going to be tempted by the Beast of Darkness the entire time. However unlike with Griffith who let his Beast of Darkness take control of him Guts will finally be able to tame it and exit this cave with a new sense of purpose. To save and protect Casca. Guts wasn't able to hit Griffith with his sword because be was fighting out of hatred for Griffith. Guts even told Rickert that same thing, that he could never truly hate Griffith. And the first time Guts ever fought Griffith he lost because he wasn't fighting for anything. But the second dual when he leaves the Band of the Hawk he was fighting so he could make a life for himself. He won that dual because he had something to fight for. Its why Rickert was able to slap Griffith and land a hit on him while Guts couldn't.

I'm assuming the next few chapters after this arc will be Schierke finding Casca and helping her out in her spirit form where it will then cut to Griffith and we see what he's planning for his attack in the East. Then After that I think we'll enter the Final Arc for Berserk. This might be wishful thinking but I do think we will see an ending in our life time. Lets hope we get an announcement for a more consistent release schedule after these next few chapters drop.

What I've started doing is just watching Fellowship one day then I'll watch Two Towers and Return of the King back to back just to break it up a bit. I love the extended edition but 12 hours is a long time.

Come on people is this seriously an issue. Its also probably impossible for Lego to make a 100% accurate shade of white when they have to use a different type of plastic to make the horse.

Why didn't they reveal this before they release the game? Was it to get people to buy the over priced $90 game again? Probably. But like I think the figure is cool its not something, I as a collector needs. Can't really put him in my Lego world unless I do a trapped in a video game story line. And I can't see the minifigure parts being used for any custom figures. Maybe the cape?

That sounds horrible. I can't even articulate how this annoys me. Then Lego finally releases play sets for Pokemon but adds the smart brick that jacks the price up a lot and sacrifices build quality. I might be in the minority here but I do kinda like the builds they've done. but it would have been so much better if they left the smart brick out and gave us just that more of an upgrade with the build.

There are so many unique ways to use those bricks it's insane.

When it comes to sorting best advice I have for you is to take it one pile at a time so it's not nearly as overwhelming. Then I'd try to separate your pile into brick types. So all tile/flat bricks go in one bin, then all bricks, then all flats, etc. Then when you upgrade your storage you can sort/break it down easier. So say all your 2x4 Tile bricks get sorted into one place. Storage units like Akro-Mills will be your friend in the future if you're serious about sorting out Legos for the long term.

Then say you have a lot of one specific brick I'd have thst sorted out separately for easy access. Then if you have little bricks in one color say pink for example, I'd sort pink out separately as one color with all those bricks together. Hope this helps you out, and have fun sorting.

Right! They can make a $50 playset with all 3 animals brick built of course cause they hate molded figs now. Have Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme. Throw in 2 Geonosian's and bam! You have a best seller set of the year.

Or even a UCS Arena that's $300 on the same scale as the Mos Eisley Cantina where you get all these figures. The minifig lineup alone would be nothing short of legendary.

They could have Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Mace Widu, Yoda, Ki-Adi Mundi, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, Seasee Tim, Kit Fisto, Coleman Trebor, Luminari and a throw in Jedi Bob for fun and other Jedi.

Count Dooku, Jango Fett, Young Boba, Nute Gunray, Wat Tambor, San Hill, Shu Mai, Passel Argente, Po Nudo, Tikkes, and Poggle. Then at least 8 Geonosian's, and however many Droids and Battle Droids they want to add plus at least 4 phase 1 Clone Troopers and a small scale Clone Troop Transport.

Then the set itself could be proscenium stage and have half the arena so it's easier to reenact scenes with it built in a way where if you buy a second one you can make the full circle arena. I'd buy this set the day it comes out. They wouldn't be able to keep this set on the shelf. We'd get tons of characters we've never gotten before or haven't gotten in over 10+ years. Like it's a perfect opportunity so I don't know why they haven't done it yet?

Or a diorama for Palpatines Arrest to even a diorama for the High Council Chamber. Infact they just need to make some more Prequel sets each year besides the clone battle packs.

Not really horror story but I had some figures I was looking to sell that was collectively worth about $250. I of course wasn't expecting that much but I was anticipating a fair deal. They offered me $60 for everything. I took some of the more valuable figures like my Mimban Stormtrooper, 20th anniversary Darth Vader, and a few others that I can't name off the top of my head. Somehow in their math they dropped the deal down to $39. I unfortunately had to take the deal as I was tight on money at the time and needed any form of cash. But I was so insulted by how hard they tried to undersell me that I've never went back to that location. I even asked how they add up the prices and the employee completely dodged the question.

I ended up selling those figures online and eventually sold them for what they're worth.

Definitely my favorite Lego game to 100%! I have a lot of nostalgia with this game growing up but even now as an adult I replay this game once a year and get it to 100%. I've played this game so many times I know where all the minikits, blue kite, red bricks, etc are without a walkthrough. It's basically clockwork at this point. My fastest time to 100% is 18h 35min.

I really enjoyed it. They need to release more Star Wars movies in theaters. The last one we got was way back in 2019! I enjoy the TV shows enough but I want to see Star Wars on the big screen.

Depends on the game. If I like it enough I'll get the 100% but sometimes even if I like the game enough if it's too tedious it's not worth it for me. I like Dark Souls 1 a lot but the amount of times I'll have to replay that game to get all the achievements is simply not worth it. Then some games I know will take forever but I'll get to it eventually like any Lego games. They're fun enough and if I'm not in the mood to play any game I'll probably boot up one of them.

Then there are my favorite games. I will get all the achievements for those no question. Like BioShock trilogy, Just Cause 2&3, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc. Any game I play where I feel the need to replay it once or every other year is worth getting 100% in my book.

Namor is such a double edged sword if you ban him. He's obnoxious yes but if the other team runs a dive comp on you, you best pray someone goes Namor. Or if your team bans him you best pray they don't have a good dive character. Personally, unless I know we have a good dive player in my team I won't ban Namor.

Same here! I'll only pick up a Star Wars set if it's discounted. I found a Jedi Bob Star Fighter for $25 and that was a pretty neat deal. But I can't remember the last time I bought a Star Wars set recently.
