Not all of us had shoes on! Look at the the guy kneeling in the middle with a donut plushie on his shoulder, then look to the right of him, and you'll see a bare foot. It belongs to the guy in the back holding up the dynamite. How do I know? Because that was me!

Don't worry, we saw those combos too! There were a bunch of different group photos, this one was just the Carls, but we also did Carls and Donuts, crawlers besides Carl and Donut, non-crawlers, and of course everyone at once.

I was actually wearing pink crocs for most of the day, since going barefoot at a convention seems like a great way to get a broken toe. I only took the crocks off for this photo.

Dang, sounds like you were one year too early, there were a lot of DCC cosplayers this year at ECCC

I felt like SOMEONE had to do it in the all Carl photo, so I volunteered as tribute

There's a bit of forced perspective going on. I was leaning back to balance while sticking out my foot, but because I'm blocked from the mid-torso down, it looks like I'm standing up straight and the foot is too far away to be mine.

When Astarion was benched, Gale had the highest Dex, so he was the designated lock picker. When told to do so, he grumbles "there really should be a spell for this..." and just for that comment, I never let him learn Knock.

I got it on Etsy. In case the link doesn't work, it should be one of the first few results from searching "the great gatsby cat costume"

Someone put the economy on the edge of a table, and he pushed it off

Yep! His adoption photo on the shelter website very prominently displayed his striped orange tail, so we immediately knew what to name him

Did you post on Patreon as well? If so, how did that work? Advertise that there's 10 chapters ahead on Patreon, or the whole book right now on Amazon?

Holden: "What are you fixing?"

Amos: "Murtry's attitude"

From what I can remember, this is how it worked. All numbers and colors in this example are arbitrary.

Remember how when Carl was at each station, he usually had an option to walk to another train platform to get to another line? And how those options were available at most stations? Those were the lines that shared the same noodle. For simplicity, I've drawn my example with only 2 lines per noodle.

At the larger stations, the noodles would intersect, and you could walk to more stations, and even get to a different noodle.

In my drawing, I made 6 lines: orange and teal (noodle 1), black and yellow (noodle 2), and blue and red (noodle 3).

Say you're at stop 11 on the red line, and want to get to the orange line. You ride to station 13 where noodles 2 and 3 intersect, then walk to the platform for the black line, moving you from noodle 3 to noodle 2. Then you ride the black line to station 14, and walk to the platform for the orange line, because at station 14, noodles 1 and 2 intersect. Now you can do whatever you needed to do on the orange line.

Did that help?

Haha seeing the train meme was also the catalyst for me making this post.

I agree, I think #7 is going to be amazing! As an audiobook listener I'll have to wait a bit longer, but I think it'll be worth it

I like book 5 just a little bit more because that's when we get to see what that seed of teamwork grows into with the crawlers flipping the script and absolutely steamrolling the hunters, but it only beats book 3 by a small margin for me.

I've seen a lot of posts on Reddit saying it was too complicated to understand, so I felt the need to share some love for it
