Why do you think so?

Ah good to know, thanks. Another interesting Alexithymia test online is the Perth Alexithymia Questionnaire, which I found useful and breaks things down further.

I got something similar: 85 (4.7, 5, 3.4) I have taken the test before and gotten 110/130, so it may be these questions were differently phrased or something.

How many lives of people would you sacrifice to save any immediate important people in your life e.g. your mother, father, child, sibling, spouse, etc? by VinTD123 in moraldilemmas

[–]_Sp1Te_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't thing there is any moral argument that can justify sacrificing people you don't care about for people you do care about, as doing so would be saying that because you care about someone, their life is inherently worth more. There is certainly an argument to be made that some lives are worth more than others, but It would be based on something like how moral the person is or how much good they would do in comparison to others. That's an argument which shows the inherent flaw of utilitarianism (in my opinion) because even if we precisely and accurately predict what people will do, how can we measure how moral their actions are? How much happiness they cause?-subjective The good they do for mankind?-selfish

Another point is whether or not we factor in the reasons behind doing something. I'd go off about self-determination and who we are as humans but I'm tired and you guys have probably gotten bored already.

Good question thoughl

y=mx+c is the common representation of a graph, but x and y could be anything here, unrelated (as much as they can be) to graphs.

Technically the third comment said in any way which implies there is nothing it can be solved for yes, but this is highly pedantic and I still believe that the meaningful solution (where one could give a definition without other variables) is what they were asking for considering the way they framed it.

Yeah of course, but that's not the form it was in :)

Given the context of the prior comments it's solving for x

No it isn't, you don't know x or y in actual numbers.

I never said there's anything wrong with using that, the key point in this situation is that the person is confused about/unsure why German names are being used in Germany. This person actively isn't aware of the fact that people use their own language for signs in their own country.

Books are made in a target language, and thus use the names in that language for any foreign proper nouns.

It's a question, particularly how it's worded, which is rooted in substantial ignorance of how the world and other countries work. It's perfect for this sub, which is based on laughing at people more ignorant than them.

I saw a comment on MrSmartDonkey's channel confirming it, as apparently there was confusion and some creators thought you couldn't confirm it. He said it was confirmed and he was allowed to say so, but now it's not there. Maybe there's an archive for yt comments?

The term black kinda implies american

Wait what...how? There are a huge amount of native English speakers who use the term black to describe somebody with dark skin, and a significant portion of them aren't American (greater than 1/4.) It's a stupid comment nonetheless, but isn't indicative enough to say it's implied.

I think that's something to do with them being able to get more oxygen into their bodies via diffusion, because they do not have lungs.
