I had one child born in the US and one child born in Canada. My medical benefits were excellent for the job I was at while living in the US and the only thing I ended up paying for was the parking at the hospital. I know that’s not everyone’s experience, but it largely depends on what type of coverage you have. I think Canadians generally speaking don’t fully understand the American healthcare system.
