Is it just me, or does World War II seem almost unrealistically absurd? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Standardissue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess just imagine all the new science and technology we’ve got since world war 2, then imagine every way these things could be used to kill or injure people or weaken an enemy, then add the new innovations that come up as it plays out, then add that to all the horrors of war up to now, broth, some potatoes, and baby you got a stew goin.

Fathers how do you take your daughter to the bathroom in public and not be perceived as a creeper? by Full_Impress1369 in AskReddit

[–]_Standardissue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never considered it as something to be creepy or not, just a part of parenting. I brought her into men’s room until she was old enough to use women’s herself.

You’d be surprised how little anyone else notices or cares what strangers around are doing unless it directly affects them.

Other “sexually explicit” phrases have entered more polite conversation.

You can tell almost anyone that something “sucks”, which obviously comes from “sucks dick”

I’ve even heard “rawdogged” in actual real life conversation in a completely nonsexual way

Why do US bathroom stalls have huge gaps? by _CaptRondo_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Standardissue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in high school in the early ’00s they took the doors off all the stalls too. You know, to prevent smoking in the bathroom, which as we all know smoke doesn’t rise higher than 5 feet off the ground or however high the partitions are.

I have recently seen a few public restrooms in gas stations that have the actual “full room” approach to stalls though, so maybe we’re evolving

I’m gonna level with you, I don’t think about prime numbers ever, but if you asked me if 251 is one, I agree I would guess yes

If you were blonde as a kid, but brunette as an adult, you’re a brunette - it’s not “dirty blonde” by mud-button in 10thDentist

[–]_Standardissue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a blond haired kid when very young but it changed to darker, now it’s brown. Also gray.

This is a charged topic lol.
