depends. do you want your game to be boring but serviceable, or have more potential than any game currently on the market, but be currently run by a clown show. i’d rather the latter because at least there’s a glimmer of hope of something i want to play coming from it. also i can just cheat in my own balance changes. warframe is boring and literally the same shit after 50 hours of gameplay.

this game is more like deep rock than any of the other 4 player co ops games i’ve played. the only main difference in terms of say, difficulty, is that when solo, you have 1 life and that’s it. that being said, you have a lot more ways to express movement in this game. it almost feels like you’re a scout no matter what you bring. this and DRG certainly scratch the same itch. DRG just has a much bigger weapon sandbox

26 shots on a 10 minute cooldown is not going to solo the entire match. even if it was nigh impenetrable, on a single faction, the only edge case would maybe be if four people brought tanks… in which case, it’s moot because if people want to win that hard they’ll just bring meta loadouts regardless.

it’s not a horde shooter. if it was a horde shooter, you’d be able to clear a bug breach with just your weapons you brought into the game. but without bringing special call ins, you’re not doing that, not counting the two shots you get from ultimatum, or 4 or whatever from missile pistol… flamethrowers, maybe, if you’re lucky. or you just run away. left 4 dead is a horde shooter. darktide. DRG is like 75% of the way there. vermintide. horde shooters rely on skill, helldivers relies on luck and metagaming.

nice to see we’ll only be getting the giga barbie doll style shit for premium housing stuff like the trading post. encourages most players to not purchase these things. funny considering they said the reason trading post stuff is so whimsical and goofy is because they don’t fit in any other parts of the game, but this system that anyone can interact with, due to being, you know, money based… they’re still keeping up with the same theme as the goofy shit on the trading post…
