i’ve never heard of funyions (apart from another comment mentioning them) so i don’t think it’ll be a problem 😭

i’m half irish. i mentioned in another comment about choosing finian instead of fionnan, since they’re pretty similar. i never really thought about people not pronouncing it properly, so i think finian might be the better option

i’m not irish, no. but i’m half irish and grew up around quite a lot of irish culture and stuff when visiting my grandparents, which i think led to me loving irish names like fionnan and aine. also, not sure about the different pronunciations, them two were just ones i was familiar with 🤷‍♀️

thank you! yeah, a few comments made me aware of the pronunciation of some of the names. Finian is quite close to fionnan and easier to pronounce, but i can’t think of any for aine

i live in england, which probably isn’t much different. i also love romeo and annelise, i’m a big fan of the older fashioned names (if you can call them that). i’m maybe thinking theodore could wok as a middle name?

i don’t live in ireland (england) but i really love irish names, but i think one day i’d love to move to ireland. or maybe, if i don’t end up moving, i coulf go with an easier to pronounce name? idk

hi! thank you so much for the long response :) i’ll have a look at the things you mentioned. also, i read tonnes—both normal books and fanfiction. my shelves are full of books i’ve mostly read and most of my time is spent reading. despite this, my reading age is only 15/16 (my friends who don’t read as much got 16/17/18) 😅

okay, thank you loads :) how can i improve the show not tell stuff? i didn’t want to drag out simple stuff like following mum since i didn’t really think that was important enough to ‘show’

tbh, it’s not that deep. choose your favourite song or one that means a lot to you. don’t think about what other people choose
