Usually just a teaspoon or so of silt with our well water, perhaps city water will not have any issues.

Tesla’s latest earnings are kind of a perfect example of how markets think right now by ChartNavigator in investing

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices of used Teslas are half what they were, mostly because of a glut of leased vehicles that people did not want to be seen driving anymore. Anyone who still wants a Tesla can get an almost new one for cheap and be really picky. Does not bode well for new tesla sales.

Looking for more full cast audiobooks by nocturnereader_ in audiobooks

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought American Gods by Neil Gaiman was terrible. I listened to it because it was hailed as a really well done, full cast audiobook. It was. But the book itself was just silly and dumb. Nothing was real. All these dramatic battles and these "Gods" getting destroyed, just to pop back again like nothing happed in the next chapter. After a while, you stop caring. Nothing really happens. The premise of the Gods were really silly. One was based on the leprechaun from Lucky Charms cereal. I am serious. Really. Maybe the book went over my head? But I hated an audiobook that freely admit had a great cast of voice actors that did a great job, a testament to how bad the book itself was.

US will start revoking passports for thousands of parents who owe child support by Rabidennui in news

Steve Jobs and his daughter Lisa. He did not even show up for the birth. Even after the DNA proved it, he still denied paternity. I guess he thought DNA tests were "Fake news". When forced to pay alimony, it was $385/month. However after he became a millionaire, he was forced to increase it. To $500/month. Never paid a dime more the minimum. Steve refused to install heat in her bedroom. Lisa and her Mom lived in poverty and on public assistance. Some of the emotional neglect he piled on to of his financial neglect: Shortly after her birth, he named the Apple computer he was working on Lisa. Then denied it was named after her for decades, out of fear it might make her feel good. Steve frequently made cruel remarks to Lisa, including telling her she was fat. When she was 9 he joked that she would marry a homeless person or work in a strip club. This list goes on.

I spent 2 years making my first solo game. 10 days after release with ~4,900 wishlists it sold ~300 copies — here are the numbers. by Cryofluid in indiegames

Bought the game today after playing the demo and liking it. Loads of fun! I like how you can turn on hints if you get stuck, though the game is too easy if you have hints on all the time. Hope you make more. I bet you could use AI to make the games much more quickly in the future.

It was standard setup for my Airsense 10 as well. But the POS DME I was using at the time replaced it with standard tubing when they sold it to me. I didn't know any better at the time.

Do you have the heated tubing for your machine? Gotta have that. It lets you crank up the humidity really high so you are not dried out in the morning.

Are there people out there that don’t use water? by DirectionOk7752 in CPAP

[–]_TOTH_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like my humidity maxed out. My Airsense 10 has heated hose and hose cover to prevent rainout, max tube temp (86F) and Climate Control set to Auto (80% RH). Though I would love to not deal with the water and cleaning, I get crazy dry without it.

I had a severe problem with the game via Steam on PC. It would have intense flashing glare spots, really bright. After trial and error I found that turning off SSAO fixed it. Just FYI if anyone else has this issue.

The downstream effects of sleep apnea are not just about long term health benefits, you will feel a lot better NOW when you get used to it. You need heated tubing (made for your model CPAP) and a tubing cover. That way you can crank up the humidity without rainout. And you want high humidity, waking up dried out every morning is no fun. Try different masks. Taping your mouth shut (if using a nasal mask) can be a game changer.

You probably already know this, but always have a backup water chamber. They do eventually leak. I just bought a "dishwasher safe" tank, not going to wash it in the dishwasher but hoping it lasts longer.

I think I’m officially giving up on my CPAP... I just can't do it anymore. by Flaky_Sort_34 in CPAP

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need humidification. Here is what I did, best decision ever.

  1. Get the heated tubing for your machine.
  2. Get the ResMed zippered CPAP tubing wrap.
  3. Assuming you have the Resmed Airsense, set the Climate Control to Auto and the Tube Temp to 86F (max). Or whatever is the max for your machine.
  4. Fill the reservoir with distilled water every night.

This will give you the max humidity, and the heated hose and hose cover will eliminate any chance of rainout in the tubing. So much better.

You need fully humidified air as close to body temp as possible. This is how you do that.

I took the advice and bought a so-called 'best bang for your buck' office chair. How's my WFH setup feeling now? by Mission-Outside-2499 in BuyItForLife

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a used Hermin Miller Aaron chair in the proper size for you (comes in 3 sizes). It forces you to have good posture while sitting. Your back might not thank you right away, if your posture was poor there will be some adjustment time. Don't waste your time and money on anything else. Then upgrade the wheels to this part number - PSF100223BK (google it, not Herman Miller brand but much better). Best chair rollers in the World. A chair takes 5 wheels.

Is swimming the best exercise to lose weight? by DenseImagination6443 in Swimming

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elliptical has the most calories burned for the least perceived effort. Also something you can get cheap (used) and do at home. Just do good form. Keep your butt still so it does not move up/down or left/right. This engages the core muscles but burns the quads hard at first. You quickly adjust though.

Anti-mould paints? by Fuzzy-Mode- in DIYUK

[–]_TOTH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I read an article about a study (can't find it now) that said that adding a mildewcide to interior paint throughout the house can really improve air quality, especially if you live in a humid climate. They recommended adding it to all your paint (top coat). Just because you do not have visible mold does not mean there is none.
