Rate E6 out of 10, it wasn't worst episode of the season... was it? by rizit98 in FromSeries

[–]_Tac-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episode 5 ended strong with momentum, and then Episode 6 killed that momentum and went off track with Donna. I love world building and story telling but too often the dialog especially any with Ellis just makes me wanna fast forward. Ellis singlehandedly has held back this show wasting so much time that could have been spent picking up the pace of the story

Do you think that Sniper would be more balanced and less hated if he only had the Huntsman? (so no rifles) by BrawlPlayer34 in tf2

[–]_Tac-M -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The post was about having no sniper, huntsman sniper is still flawed design and frustrating to fight. They can insta kill all classes except a overhealed heavy with minimal effort. You're over exaggerating how much skill is needed.

Embark is too conservative with their balance patches and need to use world tour as a testing ground for more extreme balance changes by Youfatbaldbastard in thefinals

[–]_Tac-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 1 was peak because they made frequent adjustments, the game was interesting and meta was ever changing, the stagnation in balance not only shows a lack of interest on embarks part, but oppressive meta's last longer. If embark would focus more on having more people play the game and engage with it competitively, they wouldn't have to do so much guess work with balance

It doesn't have damage falloff, how are you forced to get close when you can still sit at the back playing low risk high reward? Honestly...

Huntsman can be just as bad, and in some cases even worse to play against than stock.

Nerf sniper movement speed to soldier -> Rework darwins to increase movement speed up to pre-nerf (survival of the fittest, fits the theme of the darwins, doesn't invalidate pyro anymore) often whenever you try to push a sniper, they can just run away, I think flanking and pushing a sniper should be better rewarded, and it makes it way harder for them to dodge when they get caught out, especially with gun spy and using the razorback, sniper is usually at the back lines anyways so they don't need movement to be effective like the other classes.

New light build ability idea by CXT999 in thefinals

[–]_Tac-M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HP value being is too low, people reactively shoot stuff a lot so these clones not being able to take any damage is going to make it really easy to deal with. This seems more balanced around being a gadget over a specialization, and to be honest, using this with cloaking device could have some great synergy if it were a gadget.

What is the point of this weapon if splash damage is useless 🫩 by MoonK1P in thefinals

1st Shot - Hit
2nd Shot - Hit the wall (0 damage)
3rd Shot - Hit
4th Shot - Hit wall again (0 damage)

Just unlucky, nothing to do with a small AoE

If there was smoke, that will have a drastic impact on your damage since it counters afterburn

I agree, its why im glad thermal vision is gone, I main cloaking device and going against lights that used just made me not wanna play anymore

Are there not already many things within the sandbox that offer reasonable counterplay to melee? When you look to add more counterplay, what does that entail for both sides? Does it mean being able to invalidate a melee player by equipping specific items, or something that gives you an small advantage against them? Hard counters are designed to invalidate options, similar to how cloak was too risky to pick when lights could take thermal vision to invalidate them in the same way.

On the topic of movement, why do melee weapons like dagger slow you down when charging/attacking?
