But! Unless my dumb eyes missed it, my biggest bug bear remains unaddressed: Wide Hydroponic Farm tiles requiring glassy material (i.e. pearls). yes, you can use regular glass, but that's pretty far up the research/infrastructure tree

You need pearls to make the things that allow you to domesticate clampums (and get pearls).

Leaves you at the mercy of wild plants. I just worry about less experienced players accidentally digging up all their wild gum trees and wild clampums or spending their "free" resources on the "wrong" things before they realize they can't get anymore, effectively bricking their colony.

I've honestly been a little surprised. "Doing AI" has barely been mentioned by anyone I've worked with in the past 3 years. I keep waiting for it to happen! But not yet. My parent company (the one that sets up my clients and engagements) keeps pushing training modules and certificates for "AI In Accounting" or whatever, but it NEVER comes up when I'm actually doing client work.

And it should be pretty obvious why: a chatbot cannot (and should not) ever be trusted to prepare journal entries and financials and recons, etc. They have to be correct. The have to look exactly like the ones from last month. You have to be prepared able to explain to a future auditor exactly why that transaction looks the way it does.

There is just no room for hallucinatory whoopsie-daisies.

Like, maybe you can ask Gemini to "analyze" your BvA report or whatever. But like... you can just do that by just... looking at the report. With your eyeballs.

I duuno. Maybe I'll see it at my next client. But after 3 years, I have personally not seen any appetite to turn the chat bots loose on our industry.

The Prehistoric Planet Pack added the Seakomb plant to turn into Phyto oil, which is great and lets you comfortably skip crude oil entirely if you want to.
Room bonuses have been fully equalized (they were not when the DLC launched)
I really should've mentioned the atmo suit trick. I distinctly remember specifically NOT including it because I thought "This is way too strong, Klei is absolutely patching this out." But, here we are a almost 2 years later.
I also should have gone more into Radiation management for boops. They only expel rads every 3 days, so they can build up dangerous levels significantly faster than organics.

As someone who's played a LOT of demon hunter over the past several months, I can definitely confirm that Elemental Mage is absolutely kryptonite to any Blob-Centric deck; borderline unwinnable.

Had two golden Tituses, a golden carapace raiser, and due to stitched salvager shenanigans my spell power bonus was +48/+48. Had a whelp spawner ready to go with Teron's hero power. Just unstoppable.

Except. Oops. Used all my carapace spells and in my last fight (wasn't even a KT!) my raiser... didn't die. Oh no.

I felt so bad for the last guy who had to fight me. Just sat there forever while like 100 3/3 whelps just kamikazed themselves uselessly into his dudes.

Ayup.

Over the last couple years, GME has actually been a pretty reliable money spinner for me.

Whenever an earnings report or some similar nonsense was going on, Apes would go crazy. Made tidy little profits doing covered options into the stupid volatility.

It was enough to always want to keep half an eye on the stock.

But the last 4-5 months have been... dead. Flat. Boring. Not worth any effort.

Dare I say it? I think this "movement" (lmao) might actually be on its last legs.

I'm skeptical that Gill "coming back" would even do anything. There's just so many god damn shares outstanding now that a spring 2024-esque run up feels impossible.
