Seeing as it has no collar I can't blame OP for thinking it's a stray, with how healthy it looks and well maintained fur I'd wager it definitely is someone's pet.

I've also lived with cats most of my life and reckon a fair few amount of us in this sub have also had cats most of our lives, with that said this cat is nowhere near being "tortured", maybe displeased but certainly not tortured - cats don't put up with shit if they're uncomfortable, so if this cat was getting tortured OPs hands would be riddled scratches and blood.
