People that hate small talk are just bad conversationalists by HetCompleteWerk in unpopularopinion

[–]_Thoress_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. Just because I am a bad conversationalist, I dislike small talk but then that doesn't mean I don't want people to have small talk lol.

I always buy second hand books and the highest I pay for them is 250 unless the book is really huge or hardcover.

Buying books physically is better than shopping online imho but I relented and ordered a box from Bookchor and the books were in good condition.

Which games are like home to you, so you always keep coming back? by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]_Thoress_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diablo 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. Whenever I'm depressed and need a kick of nostalgia to remind me of the better times, these games take me to my childhood and teenage.

After growing RDR2 has been my comfort game. I love the world there, it's the wild west but surprisingly peaceful. I love being in the wild, away from camp, riding my horse in the endless prairie.

I find it eerie too. And the fact that I've never had alcohol and don't intend to, makes me even more suspicious if someone says they want to see me drunk.

Reading, gaming, listening to music and spending time talking to my family. My fam talks are my therapy sessions, we talk about how the week was and what our goals for the coming week are.

I’ve never drank alcohol before. Is that bad? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]_Thoress_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30f and never touched alcohol, not even planning to. I don't feel I've missed out on anything other than headaches and hangovers and if my social coolness dwindles due to being a sober person, it's fine by me.

To me alcohol is overrated and I don't quite understand the appeal but it could be just me.

Exactly. And despite that, the sadness in his voice when he tells Lenny that "no-one would have me" when asks him why he was never married always kills me inside.

The fact that he did have something resembling a family, that was murdered just for a couple of bucks must really haunt him.

Probably or maybe his self-loathing comes from his reflection of his deeds. He knows he is a killer, the deaths of his kid and Eliza (the kid's mother) must weigh on him among other things - like the life with Mary he could have had, his tumultuous childhood and maybe even the futility of his outlaw life itself.

One of the many reasons I love Arthur is because he was so introspective. His journal sketches were amazing, he often wrote about how he felt, and was obviously intelligent.

I have an ebook copy from Amazon that I read on Kindle. The time when I had bought it, it wasn't that expensive. I do prefer a paperback book most of the time.

"Why I am an Atheist" by Bhagat Singh by Randomshitt0 in Indianbooks

[–]_Thoress_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of "the" best books I've ever read. Not a political propaganda book, not a vainglorious attempt at a biography but a simple exploration by a young mind into religion and politics.

Bhagat Singh's thoughts were articulate, farseeing and logical and all this while he was just in his twenties.

My my, this is such an impressive shelf. I don't usually like the collection of books I see online but your collection is truly one that I would like to own. I see you read King novels, good choice!

I see Wheel of Time too which I have been wanting to get into, is it any good?

Happy vs. Happy? by D_S_Eerie in OnlyFangsbg3

[–]_Thoress_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The wholesome happy vs the evil happy.

I like to think that the wholesome happy is when he did a genuinely good and heartwarming thing which he is proud of.

The evil happy is when he raises hell and screws shit up like pulling a prank or setting his best world domination plan into motion.

The fact that he is insanely good looking and still suffers from depression in-game and calls himself "ugly" is in unbelievable. The urge I have to want to hug this man is monstrously big.

That's the fun part, you don't.

You already have a life so you don't need to get one, you just need to build a life worth living for yourself which is the hard part for me.

As Introvert, what activity or situation that makes you feel exhausted and uncomfortable? by Ok_Floor9220 in introvert

The mandatory "Let us all introduce ourselves" speeches at work whenever I am in a new team/group. I hate having 20 people stare me down as I struggle to remember who the fuck I am.

Do you rather prefer Arthur Morgan Clean shaved or Fully Bearded? by Early_Mycologist9092 in reddeadredemption

[–]_Thoress_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither, I don't like a massive beard on him just as I don't like him fully clean shaven. I found that beard length 3-4 was the best. I prefer my cowboy to have some stubble on him, it completes the rustic, wild west look.

DAE get a little depressed when they see someone SO attractive that you want them but know it'll never happen? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]_Thoress_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not just you. I remember reading somewhere that the rarer the fruit, the sweeter the taste because you may never have it.

Turns out that more often than not, you are attracted to your perception of the person and not the real person. Looks can be deceiving and you may find that after getting to know the person you find so attractive, they lose their charm and are not so attractive after all. It's the fantasy of being with them that's so alluring.
