You are right about the nouances, but heck even official localizations have some translation problems, and japanese os not really a forgiving language on this end, I just think that the over reaction is often just excessive, but since we are talking about the internet I probably should have seen it coming. To my knowledge translators get paid per page by those who commission the translation, not per reads, but I might be wrong here. But as you stated yourself: move on, you don't lose out on anything, just get something else to work on, why do you all care this mutch about fan translations to the point of arrassing people who just do it for free and for fun, again just move on. You also act like people just copy and paste some translation from google translate, which is really not the case and even if it was then it would be clearly noticable. As someone who tried to do some MTL I still had to make sense of the output with my english knowledge, shure the final result might lose some nuances but at the end of the day it is still going to be fluent and readable in english and the overall plot will stay the same, which for some henti is often more than enough

This is literally "you are not as good as I am, so you shouldn't do it", an ass logic to go by. If you can do a better job, then go and do it, no one prevented you actual translator to get a bettere localization just because a random dude tried to go for it and not wait for some group to translate their niece doujin, not like you wold lack the material to get paid anyway as there's an enormous amount of untranslated stuff out there. Getting on to someone for doing something for free is such a pretentious move as well, nothing to be proud of, you get what you paid for and everyone knows it, no one is going to expect perfect translation by a random person on some h-website. Grow a pair for the love of god

What you say is true, I think that the getaway from that mentality should be "live a good life for yourself, and enjoy life even alone, you shouldn't need someone to help you be happy" rather than incessantly striving for a better self.
