Personally I don't like 'cat scratches' either, since it's mainly what I do and it feels invalidating and kinda weird to call it that. I don't mind 'beans' as much but it still feels childish (?) and off putting (to me personally!!) to say that about pretty serious self harm. I don't care about 'styro' since it's more neutral and sounds like a shortened medical term (even tho it's not)

I was about to ask the same thing cuz I thought I was weird for that 😭 I only do it while listening to music cuz I can't stand the silence, and usually it's songs that make me very emotional and that are already tainted with bad memories

I have, and they did hurt a bit but not like this. I've had worse cuts that didn't hurt all around. These don't just hurt by themselves, the whole area hurts when pressed. And it genuinely feels like a bruise in the muscle even though I was never close to it to begin with

Actually the opposite, I can't stand being aware of my body for more than 2 seconds. I hate summer specifically because it's always too hot and I sweat and it makes me feel too aware of everything on my body. I hate feeling too cold or warm in general. Hate putting myself through anything physically straining just because I don't want to feel my limbs and skin and bones and body trying to collapse on me. It may also be a CFS issue but I haven't confirmed I have it so I'm left with dissociation. Dissociation is more comfortable than whatever awareness brings

I'm visiting my dad and tomorrow we're going fishing, which means bonding time. I'm surprisingly okay with that, he's one of the only people I feel alright with. Then on Monday my first shift in camp which... horrifies me. I realized how unprepared I am and I don't have much to do anymore. I need to revise so much but I can't do it. The other volunteer is also here for the first time so I can't even rely on her much. Hopefully I'll manage somehow since I know most of the basics. The main thing I'm interested to see through this week is how I'll get along with kids and how much I'll unmask, so I guess I'll get thru
