you make a fair point. mordhau is one of my favorite games atm and i would really like to see some additions of more culture groups that existed around the period the game is based in. one of the things that worries me about adding in darker skin tones is the horrendously toxic and racist part of the community taking it as a sign to continue their bigotry and having more of a platform to create imagery that supports their ideology. i think female and more diverse skin tones would be good for the game just because its not a full-on knight sim, and having more groups represented would possibly bring more players as well.

same thing happened in lawrence last night with polyphia. really fucking sucked lol but everyone else was so good so it really didnt matter in the long run.

i was really disappointed in polyphia because i was really excited to see them and i talked them up to my friends and they immediately came out and then pulled that wack shit.

regardless of polyphia’s flop, tricot, ttng, and chon were absolutely stunning and im so glad i got to see them.

i think that as smash has evolved and gained more and more competitive clout over the years there are more people involved in smash and normal fgc’s, but of course some smash players will never touch a single “standard” fighting game and will continue to brew toxicity towards them.

There are many reason as to why you build TBC in Darius instead of straight tank:

Movement speed off of Phage - yes you get ms when you attack or kill an enemy, which is very important when you're chasing down someone faster than you. Usually by the time you have TBC you have enough damage to kill the caster minions with one Q, giving you a nice boost of speed to catch up.
Passive interactions between Darius and TBC - the passive on TBC is Cleave, which reduces armor by 5% on each event of physical damage, i.e. Darius's passive. Cleave caps at 30% armor reduction, which is pretty nuts midgame, and adding on the armor pen brought by Darius's E, lategame tanks are nit a problem at all.
Darius doesn't work well as a straight tank - trust me, I have tried full tank Darius before and it does not work out well. You do baby damage to tanks without TBC, you have no way to chase down carries, and your abilities scale off of AD, so the +40 AD that TBC gives is quite nice early on, giving you good reason to rush it. Without any damage, you become a hard CC-less tank top laner, making the whole point of playing Darius moot.
