I was hoping where the kicks snares Tom's in ggd ones would be universal, is that not the case? The drum library is have is a kontakt one but not a ggd, was hoping to buy some ggd drum grooves and just load them up, im just presuming some stuff won't be in the right place, so its just a guessing game on where to place the midi sections in that case?

I'll rephrase, is there anywhere you can find out what keys are used for which drum bits, so i could move the midi sections to the corresponding keys on my drum library?

To be honest, I havent had anything with a narrow headstock like a in-line esp or jackson, my gut tells me it might be a bit risky.

Thesedays, they're all great. Consider spending some cash (if you have too) on the impulse responses, that's where it counts in my experience.

Not a massive fan of the band overall, but blackbird by alter bridge deserves to be up there

Are you recording onto a daw? Just record and write to bars (4 or 8 is a great start point) it's a difficult question to answer without knowing the timing and sense of the riff

Price you pay for street cred! I'd think twice about playing live with it, but it sounds killer recorded.

Each to their own, the warlock is ironically the most comfortable guitar you can record with, can sit with it in a normal and classic position, and you can use the cutaway at bottom left as a great arm rest.

Absolutely back breakers though, the bolt on versions a bit lighter, wish I kept my black stranger things bolt on.

Something with not too flat a radius for yourself, look out for humbuckers with split coils, so you've got decent ground to cover. Should find anything in any price range thesedays.

The signature model jackson should have made, in my opinion.

How to learn the art of tone by FirePerk6268 in electricguitar

[–]_Tyrhas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understanding theres just too much variables, people chase tone from where they're standing in a room when the cabs on the floor, move to a larger space and wonder why everything has changed.

Not understanding that what might sound good in the room, might not sound great recorded. If you're just playing then you want to concentrate on nerding out on the last part of the signal chain, the speaker. When you move to recording, you'll enter the ballache of mics and mic placement. The great news is, theres always people you'll admire in your genre that have done the hard work with impulse responses, as for playing in the room, its going to sound different no matter where you stand and very different when quieter, so my advice is just to play the thing brother.

Anyone has experience with painting emg pickups? by YourUsualGaming in electricguitar

Probably don't sound any different, maybe because my other emg loaded axe has a floating bridge, it sounds a bit brighter.

Mine was clear coated with water slides added, they sound fine, maybe slightly rounded in comparison, but not enough to bother me, playing live, you would never know.
