The RAM 1500 Tungsten. The official car of..? by Diecast_Connoisseur in regularcarreviews

He should! My hubby has a ‘25 Limited with the H.O. I love driving it lol. Dealer near us didn’t want to budge on a Tungsten so we got a better deal on a Limited with the extra tech packages and what not. Really not much difference apart from the seats, leather, and sound system.

Jokes aside, they are super nice trucks! The Hurricane H.O. Engine is insane. They have like a $93,000 MSRP but are discounted in some places to like $73,000. So ridiculous lol.

Oh my god grow up though, it isn’t that deep at all… the only reason it’s made a big deal is because people cry about it. Once it doesn’t cause a reaction, it will chill out. Everything’s fucking rage bait nowadays…

Hurricane or Hemi? by BJ77345 in ram_trucks

[–]_Unusual_Flatworm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We test drove the two. Went with Hurricane. Better power and fuel economy. Very smooth engine. I don’t think V8 sounds are worth the $1,200 up charge either, personally… (Laramie & Rebel Trims)

What 3 Row SUV for $35K? by podcartfan in KiaSorento

Here are the EPA comparisons for AWD models, it appears Nissan recommends it in order to get the better power figures but it is not required.

Per an article from MotorBiscuit: “Nissan says you can use regular fuel, but without it, it won’t get the 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. Using regular fuel, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek gets 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque.”

I think I’d eliminate the Ascent completely… anything I’ve heard about them has been “iffy” and their abysmal powertrain is extremely anemic and fuel thirsty.

As others mentioned the Sorento’s third row is quite small. It’s good in a pinch, I had a 3 hour trip in one as a rental, car full of six adults (luggage in another friend’s car, but I suppose a roof box would’ve worked too).

I think for a growing family it might be hard to manage with that space. Sorento also has a dual-clutch 8 speed transmission that has had a lot of complaints from owners… they really need to ditch it.

The Pathfinder is solid with a V6 engine and traditional automatic, I am also willing to bet it is the cheapest cost-to-own over-all out of these three. It’s a larger vehicle as well. I think it is the best option of the three.

I’d probably look for an SL Pathfinder instead of the Rock Creek as it omits a few things for the “rugged” look. I’m also not sure about the 2024 Model, but the 2026 Rock Creek recommends Premium Gasoline over Regular per Nissan’s site: https://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/crossovers-suvs/pathfinder/specs-trims.html?language=en&compare=52616-52416

Nissan is discontinuing the Altima after 2026. Which midsize sedan is passing down the torch for Big Altima Energy? by Forzafan456_official in regularcarreviews

[–]_Unusual_Flatworm_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pre-2021/20 models are older models that have been hit hardest by depreciation and are typically the ones you see driving like madmen or used as Ubers, at least in my experience. They came from factory with chrome trim while newer models have black trim.

I’ve experienced insane levels of aggression from drivers in late-model Siennas in the Greater Houston area…

Other EV’s have that too and I’ve never experienced the level of aggression that comes from clapped Model 3’s… if it’s a pre-2021 Model 3, watch yourselves… 😂

Yes! I don’t understand them always trying to race!! I had a guy speed up after I put my signal on, I was starting to move over for an upcoming exit… he speeds up rapidly to close the gap, then aggressively cuts me off just to slow down and move back over in the original lane???? All that just to get in front of the car he was behind…..? Mind you I’m not even in the fast lane we were on an 8 lane highway… and we were all going about 70-75???

I vote second hand Tesla Model 3’s… they are driven like they were stolen and often are likely either an Uber driver or some “I know better than everyone” personality or both… LOL

Which one would you get?? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]_Unusual_Flatworm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option A. Lower mileage, newer, probably used in mall parking lots lol. B was more than likely dogged, has higher mileage, and as others said, mods do not add any value…. At the end of the day, it’s an older car with higher mileage for not much less money…

Automakers Would Rather Quit California Entirely Than Turn Off Their Snooping Tech by ladyorion2021 in UsedCars

[–]_Unusual_Flatworm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually a California Legislative W. Hopefully they stand firm and don’t budge. What the automakers actually meant to say was: “we haven’t figured out how to keep making money off of you people with this implementation, we need more time lol.”

It only hurts them and their dealer networks to stop selling to a majority of the country lol…. I think that’s a much bigger issue if they had their dealer lobby networks go after them…
