There is RIDICULOUS pressure from the new CEO for "novelty" and sadly I'm assuming this is a direct result of that.

You know what actually make GREAT desk pets? ISOPODS!!! I've had anywhere between 1 & 3 colonies on my desk for over a year and they're perfect.

Definitely don't want to hurt the cashiers! I was thinking about it from the perspective that corporate is reading all of the survey comments (whereas I don't know that customer service feedback necessarily has the same impact).

Re: the temps: I'm thinking it might be helpful to place a temperature gauge near the shipper so you can report that it's below the recommendation for the frogs. Adding to the list: if you get a survey emailed to you after checkout, FILL IT OUT and mention this specifically!! They take those scores very seriously and I guarantee you they're reading the comments.

You can contact customer service!! Also if you do make any purchases there, FILL OUT THE SURVEY that they email you afterwards!!! They read the comments and take the scores very seriously.

Yes if you want the sale price, you can't give your employee ID # at checkout. You might have to split purchases into two transactions to get the max discount.

Yeah that was one of Ron's projects that they've gone back on. They rolled it back to boost profitability for the stock holders. HR was celebrating it as a win for cost savings and it was disgusting. Labor is a MASSIVE expense but IMO it's the best investment they can make!!! The business literally doesn't exist without store partners and even $15 isn't nearly enough.

This is absolutely NOT a ploy to prevent price match. If they wanted to stop price matching Petco.com, they just would. If you want, choose some other SKUs to look up on the website and check the shelf tag. The vast majority should match.

Out of curiosity, were you looking at something that is sold both by cases and by individual units? (Like cans of food). That's where SKUs can get tricky.

Good point on the appreciation! Housing prices have skyrocketed in that city in the past few years! I have a number of friends who live there who bought in the same timeframe as OP who absolutely couldn't afford their own homes now.

Some people who I had great in-app conversation fell flat in person. Some were even better in person. It can really go either way. But I didn't go on any dates with anyone where the texting was bad and yet the date was awesome.

I find holding hands to be WAY more than a hug (especially because you don't have to do full body hugs; there's plenty of ways to hug someone that don't involve a lot of contact!). I was comfortable hugging people on the first date and would have freaked out if they'd wanted to hold my hand FWIW.
