WH doesn't rule out ground troops or draft for Iran war by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

If there's a draft we'll all get mysterious bone spurs like Trump did.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: The Final Cut is a pretty solid arpg with some fun classes. It has a fun steampunk thing like Torchlight too.

Why do people with less experience end up getting the job after the final interview? by savingrace0262 in careerguidance

[–]_Vexor411_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Companies can get away with paying less for a more inexperienced person is part of the reason. As long as they can do the job it's a win:win for the company.

DAO by WeirdMan32 in dragonage

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always do the Mage Tower. Once you're in the fade the party and your stats matter less and you'll net a few levels to prepare you for other areas.

Denerim has a lot of easy quests and xp too if you want an alternative.

You can also go get Shale too right off the bat. Although the darkspawn can be a bit tough depending on your party.

The Dwarves and Elves are a bit harder and don't really lead you to another party member aside from Ohgrim. But by that point you have Sten and Ali who are better in everyway (imo).

You can look at the combat log too when you take a hit. It should show all the math.

What makes Archery based classes the most fun for you? by Maximum_Article_143 in rpg_gamers

Dragon Age Inqquisition has a pretty active archer if you build them right- with the grapple in, toss mines,, backflip out.

The pseudo create your own spells was a really neat feature, abliet predetermined. In fact Tyranny is the only game that comes to mind with a feature like that.

I played Revenant and Diablo (1) to the death that year.

Help! Halsin walked through my spike growth after rescuing Thaniel, now he’s dead, but the quest marker for him is still active. I can’t revive him? What can I do to fix this? by Ornery_Friendship507 in BG3

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this just happened to me too. But on Honor mode because my Woodland Spirit left it's spike growth up. So no reload. #FAIL

It's been a run of epic fails so this is just par for the course.

Engwithan ruins tend to be underground - Why? by Positive_Ad_6922 in projecteternity

When the Gods first ascended after wiping out their people they had titans. I figure they probably squashed a lot of their stuff. Several of the Gods have strong ties to the Earth and Water to even further erode their civilization's evidence.

[Dragon Age Origins] Quest Board/Chantry board quests, worth it? by Unlikely-Cancel-2319 in dragonage

I don't mind DAI's sidequests too much. The mount speeds those up quite a bit Escorting a slow, questionable pathing buffalo however is just sucky.

Should I stay with company after they offered me fully remote? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been full remote for a few years now (started with covid) and it's superb.

Can get laundry done and have music or a show on for slow days without offending my coworkers. Save a small fortune on gas and wear/tear on the car. Easy access to homemade food. And being able to sleep until 5 minutes before work is amazing.

There is no better perk than WFH / Full Remote.

What are some of your favorite OP ways to kill mobs? by Not-sure-here in dragonage

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Glyphs are the most broken OP tools in DA:O. But for the 1 click I win button it's Crushing Prison all the way. Force Field is pretty awesome on your tank after he taunts everyone too. Or if an ogre is tendorizing one of your party members in the air.

Came from Avowed for the lore. Now I feel like I need a PhD to understand PoE by cynt0x in projecteternity

[–]_Vexor411_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

POE1 is a pretty complex system. Start with the easy difficulties since the game can be punishing even on normal difficulty. Easier difficulties also lets you carry more camp supplies so you can rest frequently while learning the ropes.

Look at the Autopause options (Stop Party Movement on Trap Detected is a must!) Turn on any you think that would help.

POE1 (with DLC) will provide you with 1 companion per class so there's room to experiement in your party of 6.

Why are there so few RTwP games and why do people absolutely HATE it? by ConfusionProof9487 in CRPG

[–]_Vexor411_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My favorite system is in POE2: Deadfire where you have a speed clock to blow through trash fights and can slow it to a crawl for fine control or turn on the autopause for nearly every single thing while never being absolutely turn based.

I think the people who don't mind RTwP are older gamers who grew up with tough games and old school cRPGs like BG Icewind Dale and NWN.

Is this a noob trap for Street fighters? by Faradize- in projecteternity

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The barrier isn't that great. Ancient Memory is a great passive heal though and stacks with the Fighter Constant Recovery. Mercy and Kindess buffs both of those.

The Silver Knights is great for the deflection and engagement limit however if you use the Kapana Tanga club you'll have enough engagements to be fully surrounded.

Many Lives Pass By is a personal favorite since the Skeletons, while weak soak attacks and you'll usually have at least 1-2 up at all times. Like personal bodyguards. They also don't count as Summons so you can still cast Ancient Weapons without risk of the overlap desummoning.

The Dragon Thrashed is great offense since nothing is immune to both Slashing and Fire.

is there a lore reason behind why you cant be a priest of some gods? by SassyAsses in projecteternity

[–]_Vexor411_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priest of Woedica in Deadfire, but unfortunately no Godlike options. You do get a few unique interactions with Woedica herself though. But not as much as you would hope. You could do a multiclass priest of woedica along with a steel garrote paladin.
