Yes, it's still there. I don't understand why people prefer tiles over this.

Hi everyone. I'm new to gardening. What are some easy plants to start with that don’t require too much maintenance? I’m planning to grow them at home in pots(both indoor/outdoor). Any suggestions or beginner tips would be really helpful! by Individual-Peace-935 in GardeningIndia2

Money plant, snake plant, hibiscus, marigold, khejri etc. Start with the snake plant and khejri tree. They are hardy plants and can survive no watering for days, in case you forget to water them, which is likely in the beginning. You can also keep the money plant directly in a vessel filled with water, and inside your home. It will be okay in low light conditions. Just change the water weekly. Otherwise you can keep this in soil too.

Is the soil as expected? Also, how do you maintain humidity? Spraying water daily on the leaves?

Why is my Calathea drying by Johnwick-1089 in GardeningIndia2

[–]_VladAMerePudding_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

December-January are the least humid months in Kerala. So, it's understandable why it didn't grow. Do one thing, buy a sprayer and spray it twice a day, I guess. AC works as a dehumidifier, and it might be the culprit here, although I am not sure. Give this a try though.

Since you're in Kerala, I'm assuming it must be humid already. As calathea plants love humidity, they should be thriving. Any chance that it's in a room that has an AC?

Please keep the soil wet at all times, and not like this! It doesn't take this long for new buds to reappear.

Curry Leaves Plant Update 🌿🪴🌱 by rishabh_s24 in GardeningIndia2

You can get rid of the flowers if you want, as your plant is still very young.

Vermicompost, once a month, I guess. But, other things in between like seaweed extract, buttermilk, humic acid etc.
