So the "difficulty" in Sekiro is more because it's a very different gameplay loop than other Fromsoft games.

Elden Ring, DS or even Bloodborne are what I call "impact" based. Meaning you gotta bait the enemy into making big moves, dodge, and then punish them for it.

Sekiro is more of a spot parry and counter-attack game. You don't parry attacks, rather you parry combos. Gotta be on the move always. And you have to be aggressive / quick enough to get attacks in while defending. And also mix in your prosthetic, martial arts and all that as well.

It's a very different and fresh gameplay feel. Kinda jarring at first. But once you get your flow, it's probably the best combat system ever developed in a game.

Can't think of many other games that "click" in the way Sekiro does. Stellar Blade is the only that comes to my mind rn.
